McMichael, of lately has been displaying some characteristics that I wasn't aware of in terms of taking the bull by the horns and becoming a leader on and off the field. This article that I read this morning from the Sun-Sentinel makes me believe that McMichael matured as a person and shows that he's dedicated to a team. Furthermore, the article talks about his coaching experience on a little league team. I believe this is the person that we all see as a leader down the stretch. I know they don't talk much about him as a Dolphins TE but primarily his character and what he's become since his past incidents. At any rate, here it is....enjoy :)

Good player, YES, but lets be honest, he beats his wife. A man who beats women is no man at all. He will always be a looser in my book!

why would you send a football player to talk about baseball? i understand the community element but it doesn't make sense.

Pretty close to you on this one. One offseason of coaching little league won't change some flawed personality traits.

They got in 2 fights. You say "he beats his wife", 1) like you know what goes on behind closed doors and 2) like this is some hobby of his.

Ever been in an emotional relationship? Lots of hollering, shoving, slapping??

I have.

Think about this, if Randy BEATS HIS WIFE, like you say, she'd be dead, and quickly.

But by all means, cast the first stone!

Randy has always showed good leadership on the field and with his teammates. He is a real fiery player and always seemed to be a team first player... remember he wouldnt hold out when he was getting vastly underpaid and many people around the league thought he should. He seems like a guy that will always do the right thing within upholding team values. He wants to win and be a part of winning.

troll of the year...

oh... btw... Our 2nd string TE, neverminding McMike, is better than any of the TEs on your roster...

Another valuable addition to a thread from a Bills fan.

Maybe you should look at the posts by Bills fans like Clumpy, Justasportsfan, and CirclingWagons. They are posters who actually bring good football knowledge and opponents' viewpoints to this board.

McMichael has always been a team leader, that's why he's so important to the team. Last year his stats weren't mind-blowing, he actually recessed from the year before but his abilities as a leader and team player were visible.
As a matter or fact, Chambers said McMichael deserved the MVP award when he received it. He went on to say that people can't see his speeches and his motivation in the locker room but that it clearly helps the team.

Because he's more than just a football player and he played baseball as a kid.

Did you read the article?
