Does anyone think there is any possibilty of resigning him now that the roster bonus is not an issue, to be honest im not crazy about this move, he has been inconsistent but who on our offense hasent? and who are we going to replace him with? this guy martin who was a back up to bubba franks. id rather have mcmike that franks let alone the guy who backed him up. I think he might have an attitude for being cut and some other team will pay him a good amount of money. but does anyone think we will even think of resigning him for less or do you think by camerons comments he is gone for good?

I feel you. I want him back...But i just dont think we will get him back.

No. There is absolutely no way on earth that we re-sign Mcmichael. We got rid of him because of his performance and lack of blocking ability.

Mueller and Cameron have stated that Carter was released "not just" for salary cap reasons. It was because of "performance compared to salary" reasons.

This is the same reason almost the whole OLine was released or just not re-signed. And it is the reason for Mcmichael and Harrington being released. Same with Wilkinson.

It is also the reason Mare will be traded/released.

Look for either Mare or Hill to be traded for Trent Green pretty soon.

No the main reason was that he had character issues. Tha's why we released him

Not a chance. If we really wanted to possibly keep him we would have first talked to him about restructuring. Obviously by what his agent said, there were no discussions prior to his trade talk/release. I'm sure he'll sign with someone else within the next week or two. I wish him the best, but it was time to move on without him. I've got to believe there is a bigger plan that Cam and Mueller have here that we won't truly understand until several weeks after the draft. For now, I'll trust they know what they are doing, as the past formulas haven't worked. So good luck and enjoy the ride!

Its patently obvious why we cut McMichael...he was abysmal last year. I was at the Packers game last year and he must've dropped 4 passes, 2 of which resulted in a pick.

McMichael is the epitome of what has been wrong with Miami. On paper and reputation, he was supposed to be a stud, but his play never reached that level. The dropped passes, the missed blocks, the holding penalties and the off sides penalties were just maddening. Sure, he spoke a good game, but how many positive game altering plays did he make. If anything, he was a drive killer. The guy is a mental midget who could not consistently make the play when needed.

Cameron and Muller are identifying the guys who could not get it done consistently and are purging them from the team. I for one, say, its about time. For too long we've had to watch guys consistenly fail to make plays or make negative plays that resulting in losses.

Nothing personal against Randy, but he has nobody to blame for getting cut but himself and his lackluster and poor play. Our current TEs might not have his talent but I'll bet we get more production for their salary. I'm not worried at all.
