He definitly deserves a long term deal before this season or somewhwre in the middle or at the end.

1. Makes so little money ( i think 500 k a year or less)
2. Offensive Leader of our team (who remembers him rippin our O line a new @$$ hole when they were so bad in the bengals game)
3. Is consitent as hell
4. Has an intensity very few players have (something lacking on our offense)
5. Isnt holding out which shows he loves Miami (unlike most guys who hold out

6. Is probaly the most complete TE (fast, big, good blocker)

LOL!!! I agree that he should get a long term deal.

However, he is far from consistant and he has the potential to be a complete TE but he isn't complete yet. He can't block and he still drops easy catches.

Offensive leader doesn't rip the O-line the complain about not getting passes thrown to him only to get the OC to provide a game plan where you are the main feature only to go on and drop 6 passes thrown to you.

With that said. I like McMicheal. I do, I hope he stays here for a while. I am just not a homer and realize that he hasn't done anything consistant, he fades in key moments and he still can't block.

That will all improve in time, but he is by far not there yet. He will though. I think he has too much passion to fall short of his potential.

I agree with almost everything you said, but I'm going to have to disagree with one thing. I don't think he's the greatest of blockers and that's the biggest flaw I think he has but I expect him to improve in that aspect. I agree with all the other things you said. :up:
I'm hoping we sign him to a long term contract eventually, and not wait until Free Agency next year because he'll be demanding a lot more money. But if worse comes to worse we could always place the Franchise Tag on him, and hopefully he sticks to his word and doesn't hold out.

3 and 6 are way off.

I hope we get him long term, hes oe of my fav Fins. But consistency and blocking are his two great flaws.
