McShay discusses Fins # 9 pick

Don't really agree with anything that McShay said. I don't think we're drafting in a good position relative to our needs. I think both Hall and Brown are overrated prospects, and don't consider Brown to be a franchise caliber LT.

the more i listen to anybody else besides the real reporters that our on this site, the more they look like a bunch of uninformed tool bags

nobody, i mean nobody has more inside information than we do on this site,,,,does anybody really think we should listen to anybody else besides our own experts,,i don't,,,theres no way they do the research or listen to every press conference and break every little thing that is said within this organization like our own experts.

I can't tell you how annoying it is to read a new thread that states COLD PIZZA COMING UP IN FIVE MINS,,,,NFL LIVE IS GOING TO UPDATE DAUNTE,,,now don't get me wrong i love when our team gets national attention but only when they are playing football and getting it when there playing great.

Anything in the offseason is a complete joke,,,if anything they get their breaking news from this very site.,

I like either brown or hall at this pick, either will help us.

For real!!

For instance you got Kiper predicting Brown to the Falcons @ 8 and Okoye to the Dolphins @ 9, but here's the gem, Kiper's says if Brown and Okoye are both available to the Dolphins we should take Okoye! That is idiotic! The Falcons have stated they wanted to improve their offensive and defensive lines and Okoye played for Petrillo @ Louisville! If Brown is so "questionable" why would Petrillo take him over Okoye? Why wouldn't he reunite with his 19 year old star player with tremendous upside? Kiper's logic is clueless. Brown's been projected as a high pick because of the way he played not the way he worked out and he played left tackle! Now if Brown was projected like Staley @ 18-25 he would be a reach but his projections have been consistently higher. And yet you got "Mel" dominating the airwaves with his incessant chatter and Trey Wingo praising him at every utterance because he works so hard. How many people would avoid that kind of hard work that Kiper gets paid to do?

That's because they are. I keep reading about the need for D-lineman because all of ours are getting old. They completely ignore in their analysis, Roth, M. Wright, R. Wright and Evans. All of these guys are talented and need to develop (like the young players on EVERY team). Giving Nicky some credit here because he drafted D-lineman in both his drafts.
To those of you who say they are unproven middle rd picks I would counter that most of a team's players are made up of middle round picks and many very good D-lineman are drafted in the later rds because it's a hard position to evaluate.

Hall is a solid, all around CB, but he's not dominant is any aspect of his game. He has "average NFL CB" written all over him. Not a bad thing, but I don't think he's going to be the shutdown CB some on this site are wishing for. I don't think he would be much of an upgrade over what we aready have.
Houston (Arkansas CB) has a much bigger upside.

I dont think we are in a great spot at #9.I don't know why he said that.If we dont move up to get Quinn, I'm starting to think we should drop down a couple of picks and take Joe Staley somewhere around 14-18. Our O-line problems have got to be addressed.

I disagree with that part. I believe Brown will anchor the left side of an NFL line for the next decade.
If Quinn is gone at 9 I hope it's the Dolphins.
