Meanwhile, in Foxborough...

and to think we thought this was the year the Dolphins will take the division.
Tom Brady could be 50 years old and still win this division.

Besides. Its all about Brady. Its not BB. His defense gave up 250 yards rushing. No team will go all the way like that.

It was about taking away those dangerous receivers and making them beat NE with the ground game. How that work out for the broncos?
I think it was an excellent defensive game plan even though the 1st qtr turnovers worked against it in the end it was effective.

it's excellent when your O can score 34 pts in the 2nd half/OT

Going to have to beat Denver in Denver then. That is a different ball game and I do not see it happening. If regular home games are a 3 point advantage Denver is 10.

Not necessarily. If KC beats Denver this week and NE wins their game, NE is seeded higher. I wouldn't be surprised if NE has home-field throughout and that's almost a guarantee you'll see those *******s in the SB again.

Prediction New England comes back down to earth next week when the lowly Texans pull the upset. Calling it right now. Sorry even with Brady at QB that is not an elite team. Things will even out and the overall lack of talent on that team will catch up to them in the long run.

Brady will keep them in games as he has always done but that team will go no where in the playoffs this season. They played a Broncos team that got up big due to their defense and running game then tried to coast along. Manning had a terrible game due to his body being affected by the cold weather. Sorry Manning's body will crumble in the frigid cold weather during the playoffs this year dooming Denvers playoff hopes. As for New England they have Brady and a huge home field advantage but as soon as they face a decent team on the road their overall lack of talent on both sidee of the ball will be their undoing. Brady will only carry them so far.

Neither of those teams will be in the Superbowl this year. If it weren't for all those injuries I would call Cincinnati a lock even with shaky Dalton at QB. Every one of the teams in the AFC playoff hunt is seriously flawed. Wouldn't be at all that surprised to see Baltimore sneak into the playoffs and somehow make it to the Superbowl again this year. However this time they will most likely get destroyed by either the Saints or Seahawks.

Matt Cassel won 11 games in his one season as a Patriot. How many has he won in the five years since? 11?

Matt Cassell won 11 games w/ KC and led them to the playoffs too.

matt cassell took over an UNDEFEATED team and they won 6 less games w/ him starting against a MUCH weaker schedule.

Now here is a team that can get BLOWN OUT in the first half but come back to compete and dig themselves out. It is currently 24-7, but I have no doubt they will come back and likely win. Yet, on the otherhand, when Miami was up 16 at the end of the half, I pretty much predicted a total collapse.

COACHING.

We need a regime change, pronto.

I was discussing this this morning with a colleague. Miami dominated in the first half, which tells all of us they have the talent and ability to compete, however they come out flat in the second half. This has really little to do with talent and everything to do with coaching. Our play in the first half proves they can do it, so whats the difference? Talent doesnt come and go, so the only outlier is decision making in terms of adjusmtements nd scheme.

Too mnay times this season the Lolphins have gotten good leads in the first half, only to squander them in the second. Reason is likely because they coaching staff becomes complacent and makes no adjustments while our opponent does and that pushed them over the top of us.
