Listen. I am a fan of the Miami Dolphins, and when Ricky retired, he was not a Miami Dolphin, so we got mad and we heard about the drugs and bla bla bla. But now he is on the team again, so I will root for him because he is a player on my football team. I don't care about what he did away from the field. I don't like Chris Chambers beacuse he prefers his bagel slightly toasted, I like him for what he brings to the team. In the end, if you play for the Dolphins, I will root for you, if you don't, I won't. I don;t care about your life away from the field.

Now that Ricky is back in the fold, all the sportstalk local radio stations are labeling the fans as hypocrites because we're rooting for him!

Did they actually use the term "Hypocrite?"

Reason I ask, is that would make them kinda look stooopid, since a "hypocrite" is someone who imposes upon others standards of conduct to which he cannot or will not abide.

Basically this means telling others they should not cheer for RW, then yourself going and cheering for him

I'll admit that I was quite irritated when Ricky left. I didn't ask for his head to be cut off, or anything crazy like that. I was mad though. Since then I have (and maybe I'm one of the only ones) begun to actually feel like I understand Ricky. I'll root for him. I like the guy.
