i liked him once the ball was in his hands, but it scared me that he bobbled some of the balls while catching them. he dropped 1, but that could be a game changer if he turns it over down field. He needs to clean up a bit, and he could dangerous on returns. i hope he pans out so Ginn and Bess can focus on being TRUE WR. lets go PHINS!!!

Aside from a couple mental mistakes he made early, he was easily my surprise player of the game. This kid is absolutely electric on kickoff returns. Jacksonville had no answer for him. I think the return job is his to lose. Now we'll just have to see if he can offer us something as a receiver, since we seem to have about 3 too many at that position.

the kid can play some WR . . . I didn't know he would be that electric on returns. He is gonna have to be consistent these next 3 games . . . but if he does play like that . . . he will have a spot on this team I believe. Honestly he doesn't have to show much at WR, he would be the 5th or 6th guy . . . he wont get reps at WR anyways unless we have an injury or 2.

London probably is cut basically because of Turner
I never considered Armstrong making this team . . . he was like Chris Williams . . . he needed to shine in the return game to make it.

That leaves Hartline and Williams . . . if we keep 6, those are probably ur six . . . if we only go with 5 . . . that will be interesting to see if we wanna sneak Hartline (who probably would not get much action except on coverage units in ST) to the PS (which I doubt he makes it) or go with 6 . . . but it sure would be nice to have a guy who can get us past the 30 consistently on kickoffs.

the first job of a returner is to hold on to the ball!

the punt returns are scaring me with the bobbling... the kick returning is fine, but i think if he doesn't lock down BOTH of those jobs he wont have room on the roster, if he can sure up the kick and punt return duty i think we'll make the room for him.... if he is having too much trouble handling punts i think hes gone, regardless of how good he may be on kick returns...

the next game will tell whether he makes the squad. If he does absolutely nothing or still shows the bobbles, he isn't making it.

I thought the guy was a step away from taking it to the house about every time he got his hands on the ball, other than his 2 mistakes. I would probably attribute those mistakes to nerves and will. He bobbled because of nerves and knows he has to do something so he takes the ball inside the 10 and screwed up.

I thought the guy was pretty good, I'm at least excited to see what he does in the coming games.

I think that's a very valid point. As much as I like the guy, I don't think we could justify keeping him on the active roster just to return kickoffs. But damn is he exciting.

he is exciting though, his change of direction ability is flat out amazing... i had never seen anything of him before, so this was my first experience, and from the looks of it he can be a dangerous weapon with the ball in his hands...

I hate to rain on the parade but I also think it's doubtful he makes the team (although they will try to sneak him onto the PS).

He bobbled every ball he touched, he flat out dropped a punt and he caught a punt behind the 10 yard line and got tackled on the 1. Sure, he has great speed but....

1.) We're already tight for roster space given that we want to have our #3 QB active for the wildcat on game days.

2.) B/c of the above (Pat White needing to be active), I think we only carry 5 WRs and those 5 will be: Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, Turner, Harline.

3.) Ginn should be our KR and Bess should be our PR.

P.S. I would like to see Sean Smith get a shot a PR or maybe even Wildcat. He did play offense in his early years at Utah (I think he was actually recruited out of LA as a WR/RB).

He's a rookie and made some definite rookie mistakes. So much so i thought he would be cut after the first quarter..LOL.. Glad to see he made up for it as the game went on. But they were the Jags, not the Pats.

He may have to step up more as a receiver though to make the squad.

Sorry to rain on your parade but you should just delete your post. Just because he made some rookie mistakes doesn't mean they're going to cut him. Vontae Davis made some stupid mistakes, they going to cut him? The guy can return kicks in an amazing way that we've never seen before as Dolphin fans. I say they find a way to keep him

As for your 1) statement about Pat White as the #3 wildcat QB, that isn't going to happen. If he's listed as the #3 QB and comes into the game, Pennington can't come back in. That erases your 2) statement. Your 3) statement puts our #1 WR at risk to injury, not a good idea.

Your P.S. statement is somewhat correct. He was originally a WR that was converted into a DB, but that doesn't mean he can run the wildcat, lol.
Sorry to sound harsh but I wasn't going to read that and not respond.

He showed some potential. Lets see if he can clean up those catches and make a kicker miss in the open field.

The power that be in Miami have already said, we are looking for playmakers, no matter what position, no matter what the conditions may be, if you prove to be a benifit to Miami, you will have a VERY good chance at making it.

Sporano has said, they are going to fix special teams, and will go the extra step to make sure it is much better this coming year.

If Chris Williams continues to impress, and cleans up the few things he did wrong last night, trust me, the team will find room for him, and it will not be on the PS.
