I passed a guy in a long black jacket quickly on the stairs in section 112, on the way to my seat just before the game. I thought for sure it was Ross so went back to see. I walked up to him and a bunch of other guys in long black coats looked concerned fairly quickly. I said, "I thought that was you Mr. Ross", and engaged in a solid hand shake. I told him he's done a nice job with the team (weather I fully believe that or not thats what I said) and he got a pretty nice smile on. The other "long place coats" looked relieved I just wanted to shake his hand. No one else seemed to notice who it was. I didn't notice who the other guys were, but the were all dressed similar in long black winter coats. They seemed a bit startled that I approached Ross so I left after the brief exchange, plus I had a bunch of booze in me!

Just thought it was interesting.
He must have been leaving the field or something and took that route.
Posted for the hell of it.

That's pretty cool. I'd have to have a few beers in me to approach him with such an opening. I could honestly thank him for putting up his own dime to make The Rock a great place to play again. Huge plus for home field .

Great story, thanks for posting!

I am in the hotel business and some friends work at a hotel in Palm Beach that Ross is part owner of. They say he is a very classy man and treats the hotel staff great!.

Glad you got to meet him.

I wonder if the owners place bets for food etc like they used to. Ross was probably on his way for some cold wings and warm beer.

My guess is he was leaving the field (pre game) and took that route to his "fancy seat" somewhere. Weird seeing him on the stairs like a regular dude. He seemed happy to hear good words and smiled hard.
He probably thought I was some disrespecting Bills fan at first.
