Anything the Mor, terryTate, Muck, & AJ can do I can do better !!!!!!

Every thursday night at 7pm 790 the ticket and Coach Saban do a LIVE 1 hour radio show and take calls and questions via the phone and live attendees. It is hosted at a local restaraunt called Gatsby's. Coach Saban is the ONLY coach brave enough to do a live show out of all 32 NFL coaches. I think its pretty ballsy.

So I dress up the kid and wife and drag em down to Gatsby's. We decided why not should be fun and perhaps a chance to meet the coach one on one. Well for those unaware Gatsby's is a bar/restaraunt so they moved a bunch of stuff around to make it presentable, and most of the fans sit in the back while VIP sponsors of 790 get to sit up close.

Jimmy Cefalo showed up first and although I'm not a huge fan I think hes really nice and we took some pics with him. He was really freindly and was honestly excited to be there.

Well with a 3 year old and a wife thats pregnant we were bumed about our seat location. So I look around see this dolphins guy standing by an empty booth I stick the kid in my wifes arms and tell her to go see if he'll let us sit at the close booth. Needless to say he feels bad cause she has a kid and says YES you can sit there, she then replies my husband too? He laughs and say yes under one condition. The condition is that I ask Coach a good question.

Right as coach came in he walked right behund me I popped up and took a pic with him and shot the proverbial sh>#! with him. My wife took a pic with me coach, and the kid then I took a pic with her the kid and the coach.

The show starts and the VIP section is not full, but filling with sponsors and their guests who to me could care less and were chatting amongst themselves and not even paying attention to the coach. About 20 minutes into it the dolphin guy comes over and tells me its my turn get up and ask a question. I pop up nervously excited and go to the mic:

"Hey coach my names Josh" I say, " Hi josh" he replies ... we're on a first name basis now :p. "Coach, I coach youth football locally and my question is how do you keep kids motivated even when the game is out of reach, and is it any different from college to Pro?" well this is where the story gets really cool. Coach says Thats a great question. While he's saying that a lady right in front of me turns around and says to me, that was a fantastic question great job. She's sitting with some friends it seemed and had some dolphin staff around her. While I'm catching that out of the corner of my eye I am trying to focus on what Coach is saying.

Coach stressed that even in the pro's he stresses three things. 1 giving 100% mentally, 2. Giving 100% physically, 3. Tuning the intangables of each player. He went on for about 5-6 minutes about differnt things including how his methods haven't changed and great ideas for any coach to try to do. He mostly said that he wanted me to focus on having them ready to do there individual job and that the team would benefit from that. theres a lot more and i haven't had time to losten to it as my wife recorded it, but great stuff the man knows his stuff.

Well he thanks me again for a great question and so does cefalo. As I turn away the lady that was commending me earlier grabs my shirt and says to me," that was a great question, do you have his book?" I said no and she says to me, I'll have him send you one tommorow, write down your name and address. At that very second it dawns on me... this is the coaches wife. She was INCREDIBLY nice and gave me a pen and paper. I wrote down my name, address, & phone number, I told her he could call me if he needed pointers, she laughed and said maybe:D I really hope they send it cause thats about the coolest thing EVER

The rest of the night was pretty cool, Except the slimeball from 790. Apparently the guy who let us sit in the booth was from the dolphins, and he didn't want a booth empty when coach showed up. It turns out theat was a small reserved booth for guest of 790. granted its 7:30 ish and these people are just now showing up :yell: Well the dolphins guys says to 790 guy Well they aren't moving too bad.. well the slimeball just stares at us and is talking about us right behind us, increibly rude. I was there with a freaking pregnant wife and a 3 year old, not to mention we were the loudest screaming fans there, 3 yr old included. Realy rubbed me the wrong way considering I really support 790 ( buy from sponsors and let them know why, listen religously, promote it as much as i can to friends and on this site for that matter). Instead this slime ball wanted his VIP guests who weren't even paying attention and drinking and chatting to sit there and kick us out in the middle of the show.. WHAT A F'N PRICK.

Really cool experience and I recomend it to everyone that has a chance to go!!!!! Pics coming in follow up post
