After watching youtube videos of every draft player we picked, I see a common theme. Every player is a hitter! Offense, Defense doesn't matter. I think Parcells and Sparano want this team more in the mold of teams like tennessee, pittsburgh, jacksonville, and Baltimore. Thoughts anyone?
 
No doubt about it! Miami is going to pound teams into submission. That's how our teams in the early 70s won games.
 
Sean Smith is not a hitter. He has nice size but for a guy his size he is quite gentle.

I agree 100% with this post. I thought he would be a big hitter and researched him. He does not tackle very well and does not lay the big hit. But he is really good at Press Man Coverages.

I still love the pick...

After Bell & Wilson experiment is over Smith will be moved to FS unless he just goes off as a CB.

yeah hes a converted wide reciever.

Smith reminds me a lot of Nnamdi Asomugha, and I don't just say that because of his similar size. He is a guy that, being a former WR, is going to get his hands on the ball if it comes his way. He is still developing, but I have a feeling that he will be ridiculous in coverage.
 
watch the pat white video, the vontae davis video, the clemons video, the hartline video, THERE IS A COMMON THREAD amongst them, big hitters. Think Jacksonville a few years ago.
 
And dont forget size. There was a definate theme in our 2009 draft. Size and Toughness. Every pick has the attribute toughness labeled on him, and you can deny the hight on these pics.

I must concurr with everyone's thinking here an say this is what we should have been doing back when the Hair spray Warden was in charge.:crazy:
 
Chris Clemons will be the best player for our team from this draft. You heard it here first (I think).
 
sean smith is coming because buffalo has TO and the pats have moss , great move we had no answer to that til now .
