Meet the REAL Drew

That's not true. He's trying to get his clients as much as possible, regardless of their production.

That's his job

He's just doing his job. Noone holds a gun (that we know of) to the players heads and demands they sit out of camp. The players are the ones who are ultimatley responsible for their actions not the agents. Agents are just trying to get their clients what they want. They're just doing their job.

His job is to act in his clients best interrest. His failed holdouts have hardly been that.

Also his actions might directly result in the next agreement limiting roles of agents.

It may be his job, but this year he's done it poorly and it will have consequences for himself and a lot of other people.

Anyone see how small Steinberg is? I know he is old, but he is so thin and skinny, even his neck is tiny? I don't remember him being so thin years ago when he represented Troy Aikman. But I do think Steinberg will make this a smooth transition contract-wise.

.

He didn't do right by O-Gun last year? He gets players the most money he can and if that means holding out then so be it. It worked!

I meant this year, sorry if that wasn't clear.

Personally, I think the best agent in the NFL is Leigh Steinberg. He can get his players what they want w/o being such a prick!

This is the heart of the matter...
I'll admit he does good work for his clients...thus, he's paid well.
But he is the proto-typical jerk....as a person.

I dislike him as a person...........but he works hard/good.

Leigh Steinberg (for example) is a good person......and he works hard/good.

Basically, I dislike anyone who's an arrogant, full-of-himself, jacka$$. :shakeno:
Whether it's justified or not....

He's just doing his job, I can't fault him for that. I mean if you were in his shoes dont you think you'd be doing the same thing?? I would pimp my players around to teams and get them the most money if it meant I could have what I wanted, live in a nice house, etc.. I'd do it...

what is also not known is Drew takes a smaller cut than every other agent. That is how he has grown his client base so rapidly.

And in the case of some big name guys he has worked for free just so he can have a big name guy on his client list

You know what's sad?

You laude some of the moves of Drew Rosenhous, one of the slimiest people in sports, a self-centered weasel who does everything he can to squeeze every penny he can out of teams, a guy who calls in to a radio station proclaiming he saved someones life when half the story was superficial, a guy who wrote a book which contains non-stop bragging of all the women he's been with, etc...

But a 21 year old player "supposedly" cries in Dolphins camp and you label him the next "Dimetrius Underwood," and say he's a wasted pick.

Sad, very very sad.

Drew doesn't have to get along with teammates. Doesn't need respect of hte people he plays next too. Doesn't need to fit in with the "lockerroom". Just look at Tim Couch in Cleveland after he started crying, how his teammates distanced themselves from him and wanted nothing to do with him. An NFL Lockeroom is a different place and not a version of "reality" most are familar with.

I'm not denying that.

But your take on things is very warped.
