since I left Miami after the 1992 Hurricane Andrew, I have somehow followed the Lions as my 2nd team mostly because of Barry Sanders and now "Megatron". I have been listening to 97.1 fm since yesterday, I have to be honest with you all, I have never seen anything like this. Its like the whole city is expecting the Lions to crap the bed against us. Are we that good or are they that bad ? Ok I get it, the Lions are a very bad second half of the season team. They have no hope...not even a glimmer! I guess they have been heart broken so many times. Ill keep you updated if moods change.

Staffords W-L record against teams with a winning record is not high. In fact, it's not even near average, It's Real bad.

Its there OL and vs. Wake/OV they are worried about. trust me. every week they see highlights of wake killing QB's.

You left Miami for Detroit?

I get it hurricanes are scary but why leave for America's version of Beirut?

Born and raised their circa 1960. Though I love the Dolphins I have always had a rooting interest in the Lions and I know exactly what you are talking about. When the Lions started 5-0 several years ago the city got caught up in they hype thinking they finally were heading in the right direction. As per the norm, the Lions found a way to fizzle out and have still accomplished nothing in 60 years. A lot of fans are unhappy with the Caldwell hire and don't really think the team is going to improve under him.

That said, I see a good football team that has a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, a punishing front 7 and are playing smart disciplined football. We all know how badly Miami matches up with physical DLs so thinking we will show up and win is crazy. It's going to be a very tough uphill battle in a very loud stadium and I would like to believe that the offense has figured out how to deal with physical trench play.

I recall in 2010 the Lions came in to Sun Life and the fans in here thought the Lions would roll over and play dead. That didn't happen and it's not going to this time either.

Smart man

I think this game is going to be VERY close. Low scoring.

Weird, I think Detroit matches up well against us, and we're due for a letdown. If I were them, I think I'd feel good about this one.

We are not in any position to take any team lightly, however Wake and OV must be reckoned with and most teams do not have All-Pro tackles on both ends.

Depends on whether or not Pettgrew and Fauria are healthy. If they are watch for Stafford to take advantage. Tate and the two TEs cause more concern than CJ and Bush IMO.

Lion's fans are just more beat down than Miami fans if you can believe that statement. The Lions have had decades of ****y football, it is now accepted rather than rejected.

i know what you meant, but beirut is considered the middle east´s paris. Just saying, its one of the best cities in that part of the world

I didn't want to say it but this is exactly right. For all the doom and gloom over the last 10+ years, multiply it by 5.5 and you have that fanbase.
