Happy Memorial Day to all the vets. To those who sacrificed their lives in defense of this nation. God Bless You!! To those who are living and hopefully, well? Bless you all. Those who are wounded and/or injured, God Be With You!! To my Dad, Uncles and Cousins, you may not be alive, but I respect what you gave this country. I miss you all. Love ya!!!

I do not know how many of you know about survivor remorse but on a day like this it play's hell with some of us.I still can not explain why I was so lucky. I became an alcoholic over this and it took many a year for me to make friends with this fact. I guess as they say it just was not my time.I sure pushed my luck more than once in my life. Those day's are behind me now thank god. There once was a time tho that I would have spit in the devil's eye

Just got back from a visit to the ND Veterans cemetery. My Mom and Dad are buried there. My Dad was detached to the 1st Marines when they got to Hungnam from the Chosen Reservoir. Stayed with them for months. Only talked about it once with a fellow vet while in treatment for alcoholism. God bless all vets!
