I commend Cardinal's Coach for his actions

Who thinks Green did the right thing by firing the Off. Coord. ?....He saw that there was something wack with his play calling skills and gave him the axe...Do you think Saban will take such actions? I think Jason Garrett or Charlie Bagget would be an ideal fill-in coordinators...they both know linehan's offense and the capability of our QB's and WR's...so i dont think we can go wrong there...What do you guys think???...

...And dont you think it's funny now that Saban wants to use Yeremiah Bell as a starter and say's " The guy is making plays,'' Saban said. ``He's been a good playmaker for us and he's playing well and those kind of guys we need to look at playing more. Get him on the field more.''....That's ironic cause i know about 20 people on here that thought he should've started Bell for a long time now...Week one i thought...we all knew Yeremiah was a Big-Play playmaker...promoting Allen wouldnt be a bad idea either...we are paying him big bucks and I've been saying this since pre-season WE NEED SPEED AT SAFETY POSITION!!!
Who's with me and Who's not? I wanna hear it

Green fired the guy because Green wants to keep his job in an organization that never sticks with a head coach for more than a couple of years. The OC situations in Miami and Arizona are not analogous.

Sure they are. Green has been there for three years, Saban for two. We are both 1 - 5 and everyone on this board, for the most part, can see that Mularkey cant really call plays to save his A**...The only difference is that right now, Arizona has better much better scoring offense than we do...On a more positive note, It feels good to see us ranked 4 in the league though in total D again...

I have been very disapointed with Mularkey's play calling to date, but I don't think firing him at this point would accomplish much. What Green did was a gimmick of sorts. It played well with the media and fans, who were looking for blood after that devastating loss to the Bears. Green threw Rowen under the bus because they needed a scapegoat to deflect all the criticism that would (and has) been coming. I don't see Saban doing something like this just to try and motivate his players.

Sorry, but no, there isn't. For starters, Arizona has one of the highest coach turnover rates in the NFL. I think their average term for a head coach is 2 seasons. Green's on a hotseat, and his dumping the OC means that he's either finally starting to realize that, or he's having the mother of all temper tantrums.

There are no parallels between Arizona's OC situation and ours. They're totally different.

Only an idiot would think the OC and DC run the show with no pre-laid calling orders from the HC.

The HC is talking to both and the OC and DC manage the smaller details and execution with personal but play calling is a HC job .If the HC says run ,run and run the OC will do.DO you really think that trent saw that they could not run and kept his mouth shut and did not ask his OC to change the play?.

The Cardinals have a much better team than we do, period. They are better at QB, better at WR, and I think better on defense. Their Defense held the number 1 ranked offense in the league to 3 points. But we'll see real soon. We get to play Chicago and maybe our defense can hold them to three points. If we are REALLY the #3 defense in the league, it shouldn't be a problem.

I think that the OC was the scapegoat, if anybody should get fired in Arizona is Dennis Green. How can you allow on third down to go for it instead of trying the field goal and in case he misses you get another chance. DG sucks!

You don't get another chance if the field goal is missed on 3rd down.:shakeno:

The Ravens and Cardinals both fired their OC's this week for poor offense, yet they both have twice the offense we have, why is Mularky still working for the Fins?

Do you guys think Saban will wise up and fire Mularky? And what do you think it will take to get Saban to fire this idiot?

if you examine saban's behavior, he'll procrastinate until the situation is beyond hopeless. he's a fiery, in-your-face guy when he's dressing down the players or media, but when his decisions and actions can be scrutinized, he's secretive and timid. it's probably running thru his mind: if I fire Mularkey, how will I be viewed? Am I passing the blame and using Mularkey as the fall guy, or do i can him because he was brought into to make the offense productive and , so far, it has been disastrous. Right now, are offense is the laughing stock of the league so "firing mark" is a viable option, but one that Nick want execute.

I'm usually not one to jmp on the fire em all bandwagon, but Mularkeyhas really contributed to a lot lost oppuntunities on offense. Right now when the fins have 3rd and less than 3 it is almost a forgone conclusion that we will punt. Ronnie Brown was running roughshod thru the Jet D but on 3rd down and then close to the goal line we get all cute-sy and end up kicking the ball.
RUN IT DOWN THIER THROATS!!
