Saban and Mularkey: Dumb and Dumber

That call on the 2 point conversion was possibly the most boneheaded call I have seen this millenium. Mularkey is atrocious, and Saban is dumb for not over-riding that ridiculous call

Have to agree with you 100%. WTF were they thinking when that play was called?:shakeno: :fire:

Was a terrible call, u have a workhorse back and a huge QB . . . u want power football the whole game . . . why not use some at the most crucial short yardage play there is. He goes with trickery!! LMAO

Agreed and agreed.....I think on almost every third down we did a stupid pass call. If we can't get two or three yards running the ball when its most necessary.........well then.........we suck.

On another note, Id say our wide receivers dropped 50% of the passes.

Exactly! Its BEYOND stupid! With the game on the line, he calls a pass play for an RB!?

Lets see: Daunte's Forte', Passing. Ronnie's Forte', Running. Game on the line, let Ronnie pass!!!! :goof: :shakeno:

Such is the nature of trick plays. If they work, they are genius, if not, they are terrible.

The play call is not what resulted in a loss, and it's not what resulted in the conversion being unsuccessful. Booker was open, and would have very likely caught the ball if he did not slip.

If you want to rip Mularkey for bad play calling, that's one thing. But it was consistent through the game, and there was worse then that right there.

I am usually not into negative posts but I agree 200%. That was the stupidest thing i've seen in pro football in quite some time. You have a mobile...strong arm QB and you have the RB trying to throw into a jampacked endzone? Someone should double reverse a pink slip to Mularkey asap!!!

Ronnie is left handed I believe, so why run him to the right and ask him to throw it?

I dont care, it still would have been just as stupid. Just lucky stupid. And he would have caught it after it bounced of chambers head, because Ronnie is not a QB.
