Merge: Ricky Williams Return

I love it when the reporter gets so angry at Ricky for not giving him some outrageous quotes or some controversial statement, that he has to stoop so low as to start slinging personal insults for no reason whatsoever. What a fool. Ricky's quotes and the meaning behind them, escape the grasp of this feeble minded reporter, yet he wants to say Ricky is dopey. How funny. :chuckle:

"Indeed, the toughest thing to figure out about the man who sent the Miami Dolphins franchise into a tailspin by abandoning the club in 2004 to "find himself" is how he won the Heisman as one of college football's greatest backs and then had four straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons in the NFL."

That's really the only thing that caught my attention in that "article". I miss the days of Ricky running over linemen and linebackers. I remember he used to be a BEAST. Even when he was smoking he was a great back. Then hey found out and made him go through the program and he came back all.. :shakeno:..
Sure he was fast... but he wasn't the same old Ricky.

"There's no advantage to evaluate competition. We're always trying to compare things. I think if you're able to live in the moment and just do your best in whatever you're doing, then everything has tons of value to it."

I bet most can't understand this.
But its soooo true.

I swear, sometimes I think ricky is just too smart to be an nfl legend. He could never get caught up in the money and fame so he had no reason to care.

You can be smart AND be an NFL player. I think Ricky is a fool for wasting his good football playing years, reminds me of Iron Mike Tyson.

I'm not saying that you can't be smart and be an nfl player. I'm saying it is easier for someone who has a lower intelligence level b/c they can be more easily swayed by the money and the bright lights.

Edit: Its nice to see someone else from KY on here... There's not many of us phin fans around here.

I think its funny that Ricky just doesn't give a **** and it pisses off the writer. I don't care if he really doesn't think of football as the most important thing in his life. Ricky did fine for us last year and I never heard a complaint from anyone.

 Agree completely.

Hate to use such a harsh word, but that writer is a straight up a-hole.
