Does anyone know when this seasons schedule is released?

I know it was released around April 10 last year, so I'm getting a little edgy to see when and where we play this season!!

Thanks guys!

I haven't seen a schedule release date yet.

We already know who we are playing and where.

2009 home games (2008 record in parentheses): Patriots (11-5), Jets (9-7), Bills (7-9), Texans (8-8), Colts (12-4), Buccaneers (9-7), Saints (8-8), Steelers (12-4).

2009 away games: Patriots (11-5), Jets (9-7), Bills (7-9), Titans (13-3), Jaguars (5-11), Falcons (11-5), Panthers (12-4), Chargers (8-8).

I just know it is usually in early April. I found out a few other things in regards to the schedule:

The Titans will visit the defending champion Steelers on Thursday, Sept. 10 in the season's first game televised on NBC.
Then Terrell Owens will make his Bills debut in New England on Monday, Sept. 14, against the Patriots in the presumed comeback game for QB Tom Brady.
That game will start at 7 p.m. ET, and will be the first of a doubleheader on ESPN. The Chargers will travel to play the Raiders at 10:15 p.m. ET in the nightcap.
Titans-Steelers will pit the AFC's No. 1 seed in 2008 against the Super Bowl champions. The Titans defeated the Steelers 31-14 in Week 16, and several Titans players stomped on Steelers' "Terrible Towels."
On Sunday night of Week 1, the Packers will meet the Bears in Chicago. The Packers will also travel to Detroit to play the Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
The Cowboys will host the Raiders in the middle game of the Thanksgiving menu. The late game will be in Denver, where the Broncos will host the Giants in a game televised on the NFL Network.

April 15th is when the schedule was released last year. I would expect it around the same time this year, which would be April 14th.

So the Raiders are scheduled to get already 2 Prime Time Games? Wtf, the Raiders? The NFL is so stupid with their schedule! We're the AFC East Champs, 11-5 last year and have the toughest schedule this year, so we should get at least 4 Prime Time Games!

Here is my guess at what the 2009 NFL Schedule could look like. I am pretty sure we will be Away weeks 1 and 3 because the Marlins are playing in Dolphin Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 13 and Sept. 27. We also normally play two division teams at home early on and then two/three division teams in December. We have a heck of a schedule.....Here is my best guess...I tried to look to see if Dolphin's Stadium and the places we play at had any truck pulls or other events scheduled.

Week 1 - @ Atlanta Falcons (Away)…………Sept. 13
Week 2 - New England (Home)…………… Sept. 20
Week 3 - @ New York Jets (Away)………… Sept. 27
Week 4 - Houston Texans (Home)……………Oct. 4
Week 5 - Pittsburgh Steelers (Home)…………Oct. 11
Week 6 - @ San Diego Chargers (Away)…….Oct. 18
Week 7 - BYE………………………………...Oct. 25
Week 8 - Indianapolis Colts (Home)……….. Nov. 1
Week 9 - @ Tennessee Titans (Away)……….Nov. 8
Wk 10 - Buffalo Bills (Home)……………….Nov. 15
Wk 11 - @ Carolina Panthers (Away)……….Nov. 22
Wk 12 - New Orleans Saints (Home)………..Nov. 29
Wk 13 - @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Away)…….Dec. 6
Wk 14 - @ Buffalo Bills (Away)…………...Dec. 13
Wk 15 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Home)…....Dec. 20
Wk 16 - New York Jets (Home)……………..Dec. 27
Wk 17 - @ New England (Away)……………..Jan. 3

5 of our away games are on the east coast. Awesome.

2 of our home games are against teams that only play at 100% on turf.

I don't think our schedule is as tough as it looks.

I'm really concerned with the schedule release so I can compare it with the Hurricanes schedule to see how these conflict. So if anyone has any idea as to the exact realease date, pleeeeease get it to the board! I can't wait until mid-April. This is ridiculous.

Roman, good call on the Marlins being home for the first couple of weekends and what not. I had completely forgot to factor that in.

Talent is talent.

Miami plays a very tough schedule this season. They will need to manage the games even better than last year to even get 8 wins. If Miami pulls off 8 wins with that schedule, it will be a very good season for Miami.

The first six games could have Miami 2-4 based on talent. I have faith they can make a run for the playoffs. But it will be a long and tough season for Miami.

So...
I called Mrs. Cleo and she said "Based on the schedule right now...":foundout:

Week 1 - @ Atlanta Falcons (Away) WIN
The Falcons will not be able to run the ball early and Matt Ryan will force to many passes for a week 1 game. Miami's defense should be much improved vs. the run this season.

Week 2 - New England (Home)…………… Sept. 20 LOSE
The Pats will open up with the spread attack early and often. They will expose our defense's only glaring weakness. Miami's running game will be taking out of the game early. New England will play the bend but don't break scheme vs. Pennington.

Week 3 - @ New York Jets (Away)………… Sept. 27 WIN
Miami will come out running and setup the deep playaction passes. The Jets defense will struggle to stop the run, but keep the offense in the game. But the Jets offense will give the game away & their defense will crumble late in the game.

Week 4 - Houston Texans (Home)……………Oct. 4 LOSE
They just have Miami's number right now. They will spread the ball out deep and hit the TE over the middle for most of the game. Their passing game will setup some big plays for their speed demon S. Slaton. Miami will once again come up short vs. the spread attack.

Week 5 - Pittsburgh Steelers (Home)…………Oct. 11 LOSE
The Steelers defense will just smoother the short passes and running game. Miami's defense will keep them in the game until the end, but give up a big play late in the game.

Week 6 - @ San Diego Chargers (Away)…….Oct. 18 WIN
Miami will rebound on the road vs. the Chargers. The running game will be making most of the big plays on the day. Miami's defense will force multiple turnonvers from blitz packages spying A. Gates.

Week 7 - BYE………………………………...Oct. 25
Miami will be licking the wounds and the media will be screaming for Chad Henne to start after the bye week.

Week 8 - Indianapolis Colts (Home)……….. Nov. 1 LOSE
Miami will be blown out of the water by the spread attack. The defense will come out aggressive and get burned. The Colts will have their way with Miami's secondary. Chad Pennington will have a solid game without big plays. Chad Henne will play most of the 4 qtr and show glimpes of his cannon for an arm. The media will be once again asking for him to start.

Week 9 - @ Tennessee Titans (Away)……….Nov. 8 WIN
The Titans will be having a down year running about .500 at this point. Miami will abuse the Titans vs. the run and Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams will have scores. Miami's defense will put a clamp down on both Collins & Young for most of the game.

Wk 10 - Buffalo Bills (Home)……………….Nov. 15 WIN
Miami will give the Bills a beating on the field. It will not be a close game and Miami's defense will score 2 TD's.

Wk 11 - @ Carolina Panthers (Away)……….Nov. 22 LOSE
Miami will have one of the few games where they cannot seem to stop the run. The Panthers will use the run & deep playaction passes to win it late in the game. It will be a close game with both teams moving the chains on offense.

Wk 12 - New Orleans Saints (Home)………..Nov. 29 WIN
The Saints offense will put up big stats just not points. Their defense will not stop the run and Ronnie will have a big day. Miami's offense will give up a lot of yards but make some big plays on 3rd downs.

Wk 13 - @ Jacksonville Jaguars (Away)…….Dec. 6 WIN
The Jags will be ready to fire the Head Coach and Miami will be coming home with a big moral win on the road. Miami will play sound football in all phazes. Although the run defense will give up 1-2 big runs for scores.

Wk 14 - @ Buffalo Bills (Away)…………...Dec. 13 WIN
Miami will start out slow and the Bills will build a lead. But the second half will be Miami all the way. Miami will squeak out a win in the snow with a last second FG chip shot.

Wk 15 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Home)…....Dec. 20 WIN
Miami will run the ball well and play solid defense for the entire game. The Bucs will make some big plays and put up no more than 17 points. But Miami's running game will be running down hill for most of the game. This game will be won before the 4 qtr.

Wk 16 - New York Jets (Home)……………..Dec. 27 WIN
Miami will be riding yet another emotional high with a chance to win the division. They will take care of business and play a very boring game vs. the Jets. They will be in control for most of the game and have it sealed by the start of the 4 qtr.

Wk 17 - @ New England (Away)……………..Jan. 3 LOSE
Miami will be playing for the division championship. But this time NE will run the ball heavy on Miami and only use the pass for 3rd downs and Randy on bombs. The game will be ugly for both teams on paper. But NE will win the game mid way through the 4 qtr on turnovers.

Not too shabby...

10-6 playoff run...

or will it be

6-10 with a ton of injuries...

She also mentioned something about Jason Taylor scoring the winning TD vs. Miami in the championship game.

That's when I knew she was a Pats fan and hung up the phone. I called my credit card company and talked with an AT&T rep, you guessed it...a Dolphin fan:hi5:. So he just dismissed the payment and blocked her number from calls outside of NE.:woot:

The schedule I posted is just a guess...I know these are the teams we are playing at home and on the road. We normally get our non-division games from the early to the middle part of the year, and then finish off with the Jets/Buffs/Pats.....hopefully we get our division games at home in December and not too many away cold games. I would be really happy with a 10-6 record....I think 8-8 is realistic, but if we got on a roll like last year you never know?

Thanks guys....Appreciate the input!

I'm trying to plan a trip to Miami in October (I'm in Australia), to see my first ever live 'phins game after being a fan for 18 years so can't wait to see the schedule.

Thanks again!

Nice Job:)

Good call on the Marlins schedule, I let that slip my mind.

You may want to flip week 10 and 14, as we played Buffalo early in Miami last year. We should be playing them at home late in the year.

1 cold weather game, not to bad:)

I think your spot on with the finale in NE, schedule makers love pulling that on us.

You could very well be correct about wk 2. The Pats will be on the road since U2 will be playing at Gillette that Sunday.
