Merged 2x:Boy, does this make too much sense/SKOLNICK: So A.J. is no Jay

I've been a Jay supporter since the beginning, I blamed the offensive line for the majority of our QB problems. I watched every game and the vast majority of the snaps Jay took resulted in him running for his life. NO QB could be succesful in that situation. I fear that unless we address the O line, Feeley will be under the same pressure. I hope Jay goes someplace else and is succesful to prove it once and for all.
you have to blame some of that on Norv as well. We just were not able to get enough first downs on 1st and 2nd down - though a lot of that was the OL run blockind Ricky looking less sharp in 03 than 02. Jay (and Brian) was in too many 3rd down and 5+ situations that our pass blocking c/not handle

Article: AJ is no Jay, but is that OK?

Feeley is in line to get the first shot here. At the moment, the A.B.J. lobby isn't expecting him to be the next Dan Marino, which is what it demanded of Fiedler. Instead, it seems fine with Feeley being unlike his predecessor. Except, of course, when it comes to winning 11 times in his first full season as a starter. Only then will it be A-OK to be Just Like Jay.

Returning offensive starters Chris Chambers and Randy McMichael and Rob Konrad all think Rosenfels, whom the Redskins took a round ahead of Feeley in 2001, can be a capable starter in the league. We might not know if Rosenfels (fourth round) is the next Feeley (fifth), Marc Bulger (sixth), Tim Rattay (seventh) or even Tom Brady (sixth), until he gets a real shot elsewhere.

Every day I feel worse about the situation Miami has dug themselves into... Yes, I'm Pro-Jay, because I like the guy. I wish he could have had the talent around him. I guess you can say he did, I mean every QB in the NFL just has to the hand the ball off to Ricky right? That seems to be one argument for Feely. I'll remember to ask Ricky that if I ever see him. It's time for a change, at this point Miami is in a frenzy trying to contain a new leak that appears in the ship every season. RB was the leak, so we got Ricky. It's the same Ole, same Ole every year...

Zack is always curious as to why this team is stuck in a groundhog day like dimension, and it's clear to me that it starts with the owner, who keeps the same staff and crew, while he reshuffles the deck... In the end we always draw up a pair of deuces, while teams around us seem to get a pair of kings, while having less.

Nothing has changed, yet again... You would think after missing the playoffs in consecutive years, something would. I hope Feeley works out, I hope he has something Ray Lucas, and Brian griese didn't, because neither of them was able to unseat Jay, the guy who was never good enough.

I'll tell you one thing though, If this franchise doesn't get talent around Feeley we're gonna end up 1 game out of the playoffs yet again, like always. Then it will be interesting to me who blames Feely, like they did Jay, or will some eyes get opened? Will someone finally get it? May not be the players, but the guy who recruits them, and coaches them? Hopefully Spielman (although it's doubtful) has learned from DW mistakes, and attacks some big FA to help a struggling franchise.
