Four Vikings charged in boat sex party scandal this past fall!!

Fred Smoot, Daunte Culpepper  , Moe Williams, and Bryant McKinnie have been charged with indecent exposure, a law enforcement source tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS. They could face up to 90 days in jail.
The Hennepin County Sherrif's Office is scheduled to have a news conference regarding the scandal at 1:30 p.m.

Culpepper among four charged in boat scandal

MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 15, 2005) -- Quarterback Daunte Culpepper and three other Minnesota Vikings were charged with three misdemeanors each for taking part in a bawdy boat party earlier this season on Lake Minnetonka.

Maby he will be avalible after all, the new owner is trying very hard to build a class organization and make it clear that this type of conduct will not be tolorated. Kinda hard to send that message if the leader of your offense is one of the mainc culprits. Now Im not sure I would want him though. :(

Note-I know this isnt about a Dolphins player but I posted it here since there has been so much talk about him possibly becoming a fin.

THe way Brad is playing, hell I'd trade Daunte and get what I can.

But misdemeanors are like sitting in the corner for 5 minutes in pre-school and I wouldn't think that would be grave enough to trigger a drastic response for ownership.

I dont think its so much the charges themselves as what they signify, It means that Dante was one of the main guys in this very embaresing event. The new owner has said a lot about how stuff like this wont be tolorated. It will be intresting to see how he handles this.

It doesn't suprise me he was in on it. I dont want him at all. Like I say in every Culpepper thread. He averages one INT and one Fumble every game. I dont think we need those kinds of turnovers here.

Culpepper is a franchise QB...believe me...if we traded to get him...I would be happy...very happy.

Go Fins!!!

Me too. This could make the coaching staff's decision a little easier to get rid of Daunte. Hopefully. And he is still only 29!

I don't get it, Vikings have been geting on boats for hundreds of years what's the problem??. That's what a Vinking does.

i covered a benefit basketball game in Vero, Florida, a few offseasons ago, hosted by former Giant/Hurricane Kenny Holmes... a Vero native... Culpepper was a main attraction to play in the game, . hundreds of kids showed and a few dozen NFL players were there to sign autographs, mostly UM guys (Sapp, Edge)...

Culpepper shows up just before halftime, ... runs in, acts like he owns the show... and hogs the ball for the entire second half... good athlete... but, his team lost to some amateur club...

point? he just doesn't seem like an accountable, character guy... no thanks, i say... someone else, please...

Interesting details:

"The criminal complaints said that after the boats left the dock, crew members noticed many female passengers going to a lower restroom area and emerging in scant clothing.

Culpepper got a lap dance from a naked woman, and put his hands on her buttocks; McKinnie placed a woman on a bar and performed oral sex; Smoot used a sex toy on two women; and Williams got a lap dance from a topless dancer and placed his hands on her breasts."

:rolleyes2
I really don't see where any law was broken here.

The news said that Smoot "alienated a sex toy". Um, okay.

P.S. Anyone got pictures of these women?

id take cullpepper in a heartbeat every1 saying he is overated moss made him but think about it every good qb has weapons and i think chambers could be the "moss" about the sex boat thing every1 knows they will get out of the sentence just like every other athlete DUH
