Don't know if it was posted yet, but ESPN put out list and Miami has none

Suprise suprise, it seems a key element to the formula is miami are unable to receive comp picks, oh well always done alright without before

I knew we weren't going to get any with our huge free agency score last season, but what I hate is how New England, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia always seem to end up getting chunk loads.

How did the Jets get a third? Lamont Jordan? Maybe it says so in the article but I didn't read it.

For those who don't know, the quick and dirty explanation is that if a team loses more free agents than they sign, they are in the running for some compensatory picks. The greater a player is and how significant they are to their new team determines what round pick you get (earliest being a third at the end of the round).

For instance, I am pretty sure that the Colts may have gotten one next year for Edge, Thornton, Vanderjagt, and the DT they lost. However, they signed Adam Viniatieri so that bears weight on it too. Most likely, they get a fourth round pick or so.

The reason the good teams seem to get more comp. pics is because they have depth and are more willing to let talented players walk. Usually its the mid-level teams trying to stockpile free agents to fill holes.

The Steelers got two 4th's and a 5th, the Ravens got a 4th, 5th and two 6th's....

I have NO idea how this formula is added up. All I know is the Phins never get a sniff.
