A couple of things may be at work here. First, he had a rough year personally, with the hate crime and then the divorce/reconciliation with his wife. Second, I think he may be waiting to see what Saban does regarding Alabama. If Nick does leave, I can understand why a player Jason's age would not want to start over with a new coach and scheme.
