Merged 3x: Official Schedule Released!

At first glance this schedule is not very Miami friendly.

7-Sep @Pittsburgh 8:30pm Should be fun.

17-Sep Buffalo 1:00pm Wasted Sep. home field advantage vs. weak team
24-Sep Tennessee 1:00pm Wasted Sep. home field advantage vs. weak team
1-Oct @Houston 1:00pm
8-Oct @New England 1:00pm
15-Oct @N.Y. Jets 4:15pm Brutal 3 game road sched, 2 div opponents

22-Oct Green Bay 1:00pm "I'm in town to play the Dolphins you moron"

Week 8 BYE
5-Nov @Chicago 1:00pm Not bad after a bye week, first cold game.

12-Nov Kansas City 1:00pm
19-Nov Minnesota 1:00pm
23-Nov @Detroit 12:30pm
3-Dec Jacksonville 1:00pm
10-Dec New England 1:00pm 4 out of 5 at home shortly after the bye, easy road game, could help us gain momentum for the playoffs.

17-Dec @Buffalo 1:00pm Only potential below freezing game

25-Dec N.Y. Jets 8:30pm 5 out of 7 at home, 3 straight division opponents. This three game stretch could win or lose us the division.

31-Dec @Indianapolis 1:00pm A road game after a Monday night. Hopefully 1 or more teams has nothing to play for in week 17.

Brutal at points but only 2 cold weather games. Pretty good after the bye.
Our families will have to endure the Holiday games.

I don't see our September home games as gimmes against easy teams.....the Bills and Titans can surprise...remember how we took the Houston Texans lightly for our opener a few years back and the Texans won. We can't take the "easy" teams lightly.

I think the nationally televised games will be

Thurs 8/24 on Fox against the Panthers
Thurs 9/7 on NBC against the Steelers
Sun 10/22 on Fox against Green Bay
Sun 11/19 on Fox against Minnesota
Thurs 11/23 on CBS against Detroit
Mon 12/25 on ESPN against NY Jets

Plus any of the 6 marked flex games (colts, bills, pats, jags, minn and KC) can be moved to Sunday 8:15 on NBC. We could get some really decent national coverage this year!!!

As for the schedule itself, I like that we have a break in nearly mid-season. We always seem to get it early on. And I like we have 3 MAYBE cold games; Detroit on Thanksgiving day, Barfalo on 12/17 and New Year's Eve at Indy. I don't see any of them, at this time, giving us too much trouble.

Let's go out and Kick Pittsburgh's butt......

I know what you mean, but I'd prefer to "Bake" NE, JAX, or KC in September.

Detroit is a dome and Indy is a dome. Nov 5. at Chicago could be cold for a Florida team, but not too bad.

we could run with the division since the patriots have a hard schedule

Nah, all of their tough games are at home... Denver, Indy, & Chicago!

Well heck, that's even better, so we hope for a long fall season and Chicago could be OK too. All in all it looks OK.

I think Detroit and Indy play in domes... no weather factor there!

thats how i see it going. That would put us at 11-5 and prolly either a tie or the division lead with New England
We beat the steelers on the road and lose to the bills at home?

Yeah!! I'll get a win over the Jets for Christmas!! And we only have one cold game in December against the Jills!! Yippee!!

If Indy goes undefeated thru Dec then we can knock them off, but I would rather be the ones undefeated thru Dec and let them knock us off. Oh well, I wish we had NE in Sep.
