Raiders Tanked to screw JETS?!?!?!?

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writers/dr_z/12/14/ranks.week15.part3/index.html

Dr. z.....

2821Oakland Raiders (4-9)
You're not gonna believe this one. The rumor circulating among hush hush insiders, after the loss to the Jets, was that Al Davis hates that club so much that he deliberately started Marques Tuiasosopo so as to hand the Jets the win, thereby screwing them out of a shot at Reggie Bush. That's in the same league as Fox TV's Jay Glazer's scoop about how the Giants were deliberately limiting Tiki Barber's carries, so he won't collect his yardage-related bonus.

Green Bay Packers (3-10)
When I die and go to hell, hell will be a Brett Favre game, announced by the ESPN Sunday night crew, for all eternity

AND

16 17 Miami Dolphins (6-7)
How can you not root for them? They've become a tough team, man. Big gutty comeback against San Diego, victories in two west coast trips in three weeks. I don't know where this will lead, but they've made a believer out of me, so much so that I've moved them ahead of the poor ...
17 9 San Diego Chargers (8-5)
That's right, an 8-5 ranks below a 6-7. Pass rush hotshots couldn't put a dent in admittedly subpar Dolphins O-line, which kept Gus Frerotte upright long enough to give him a two-TD, zero-pick afternoon. Were you guys perhaps looking ahead to the Colts? There's a saying in my old neighborhood: "Never look ahead ... or you'll lose a lot of bread."

lol, would've been so nice of them to do so. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats, presuming they clinch the AFC East title, lose to the Jets to screw them over too.

Ha ha i doubt it.

Wow that a whole lot of love though. More then i expected.

The green bay thing is very funny. That would be a pretty crappy hell

SI.com PowerRankings #16

Here's what Dr.Z had to say about us:

Miami Dolphins (6-7)
How can you not root for them? They've become a tough team, man. Big gutty comeback against San Diego, victories in two west coast trips in three weeks. I don't know where this will lead, but they've made a believer out of me, so much so that I've moved them ahead of the poor ...

and here's what he had to say about the Chargers

San Diego Chargers (8-5)
That's right, an 8-5 ranks below a 6-7. Pass rush hotshots couldn't put a dent in admittedly subpar Dolphins O-line, which kept Gus Frerotte upright long enough to give him a two-TD, zero-pick afternoon. We are the highest ranked team with a losing record, looks like some people in the media are starting to believe! :dolphins:

Power Rankings: Respect From SI

From SI's Dr. Z... he puts Miami at 16!

"How can you not root for them? They've become a tough team, man. Big gutty comeback against San Diego, victories in two west coast trips in three weeks. I don't know where this will lead, but they've made a believer out of me, so much so that I've moved them ahead of the poor San Diego Chargers."

Great to hear that kind of priase, eh?

Big gutty comeback? From being down 7-3?

Cuz, we were kicking their arses at 20-7!

well, from 7-0......and we were being completely dominated for the first quarter and a half. But you're are right, comeback does sound wierd for that game.
