MERGED 4X: Ronnie Brown

yeah it was. he got hit behind the line several times with no place to go. but even his 3 yard runs looked great. he made some great moves and broke tackles and applied a mean shoulder to champ bailey, knocking him out of the game. brown also had a great day blocking for the pass, looking like a veteran out there. seriously, he looked GREAT blocking. and of course he had an incredible catch on 3rd down to keep the drive alive. a fantastic debut for a guy who missed a lot of time in preseason

it wasn't the yards that was bad... it really was the 2.6 ypc

The only complain I have on the o-line was to many false starts....Ronnie is a rookie and he performed pretty well carried for 22 for about 63 yards and had a one handed catch for about 2 yrds but it gave us a fisrt down for a touchdown drive.Just remember this aint a run down the middle a 100 times team anymore.....

How is Ronnie???

I saw in the CBS highlights that Ronnie Brown took a hit from Baily and was hurt on the play. How bad is it if at all?

Hey guys the scoreboard looked awesome today, unfortunately I didnt get the game on TV, I was just wondering if Ronnie Brown struggles was the O-Lines fault

He doesn't have good change of direction skills and he tried to reverse his field on too many runs. That resulted in some negative yardage.

He had several plays where he lost yardage -- I think when he learns he can't dance around as much in the NFL he is going to be great. He blocks consistently and doesn't go low like most RB's. He caught a great 1st down. He is an "everything" back and we aren't going to be sorry we drafted him.

The O-Line looked good today too. Its really hard to run on 8 man fronts. I loved the play calling though! Isn't it exciting to see all these plays that we've NEVER seen here in Miami in the last 10 years?

We're used to these North/South running plays, now we are seeing misdirections. Its just so exciting. We really have a good team.

Meh, he looked like a rookie. Albeit a very promising one. I'd give him a 100 carries or so before the light really comes on. That catch was sweet though.

On one hand, the OL didn't open too many holes for the running game.

And on the other hand, Ronnie's cut-backs seemed a little slow/late.

The OLINE played well for the most part. They showed up. Guys our team looked great today we moved the ball well. The D played well and as Saban said in the locker room after the game he normally didn't give out game balls, and didn't care how much or who buys them, if he had to buy them he would, everyone was getting a game ball. Awesome win.

Am I the only one who consistently saw Denver LB's/D-linemen in Miami's backfield on run plays??? I thought he played extremely well as I saw him break some tackles, and get some very tough yards after contact( The Guy DOES NOT go down easy) Plus his blocking was spectacular, and the falling down catch to get a 1st down just gives us a minor glimpse of the kind of recieving skills that this kid has

There were a couple plays where Ronnie Brown was dancing in the backfiled and lost yeards, HOWEVER. He was hit on EVERY OTHER play IN the backfield. Sometimes he didn't even have a chance. He played pretty good concerning what he was dealing with I think.
