Thomas says he'll play Linebacker 'OK' despite a limiting rib injury

Fellow linebacker Junior Seau said he expected Thomas to play.

''He's 5-2 and full of muscle, all fast-twitch. He'll be fine,'' Seau said.

Other than Thomas, cornerback Sam Madison returned to practice Thursday. He is questionable with an ankle injury. Offensive lineman Mark Dixon (doubtful, ankle), safety Shawn Wooden (questionable, hamstring and hand) and center Tim Ruddy (probable, knee) did not practice. Ruddy rested and is expected to play Sunday.

I've had cracked ribs, and it really hurts like a b**ch. Zach is one tough SOB, and he knows how important this game is! He said it hurts when he laughs(and coughs) but he's still willing to go out there and tackle people. If this ain't a leader, I don't know what is.
