Cornerback Sam Madison missed practice Wednesday and is listed as questionable with a bruised left ankle, but it appears he will play Sunday against the New York Jets.

Listed as probable are defensive tackle Larry Chester (feet), offensive lineman Seth McKinney (finger), receiver James McKnight (toe), defensive end Adewale Ogunleye (knee), punter Mark Royals (hamstring), center Tim Ruddy (knee), linebacker Zach Thomas (ribs) and running back Ricky Williams (ankle).

The Jets have no injuries other than quarterback Chad Pennington, who is out for the season with a broken left wrist.

Zach Thomas Downgraded!!

Dolphins | Thomas Questionable For Jets Game
Thu, 11 Sep 2003 10:21:29 -0700

Miami Dolphins LB Zach Thomas (ribs) was downgraded from probable to questionable on Thursday, Sept. 11 for the Sunday, Sept. 14 game against the New York Jets.

What the hell?? What else can go wrong. We need our bye week this week....lol :)

Questionable means there's a 50% chance that the player will play. It works like this: Out = 0%, Doubtful = 25%, Questionable = 50%, and Probable = 75% or greater.

In other words, unless Thomas is a lot worse off than we think then he's going to play. Questionable rarely translates into "out" where a key player is concerned.

Who would play in his place? Would Seau go to MLB, or would Hendricks come in? I think unless it's really serious, Zach would be out there.

lst I heard from Wanne, Hendricks was the backup for all LB spots, but I agree that I expect Zach to be out there

Thomas will play, no way we sit him out....our team will start him I will bet on that.

My brother bruised his ribs about three weeks ago on a particularly nasty wakeboarding crash.....he was alright for a few days and then WHAM he missed about three days of work(He's a Fireman, so if he missed work it was for real).....he just now felt good enough to try it again....he said it hurt like he// for about two weeks.

940 Fox Sports: Zach Thomas was just on and he said there's no way in hell he don't play on Sunday. He practice today and will be ready to go..
