I think this is something worth mentioning. I am not sure if some of you caught this April Fools joke last week, but it is funny to find out that it is STILL having an impact.

For those who did not see it, here is the original story:

Before you get bent out of shape, there is absolutely no truth to this story and no such rule exists. Of course there were Redskin fan sites and that picked this story up and thought it was true.

Today, there is a new entry that brings to light that the joke is still getting people.

A simple joke by a Dolphins fan site now has hit USA Today and CBS Sportsline. I think Brian Miller at PhinPhanatic needs a round of applause for one of the better sports related April Fools jokes. It is one thing to trick other fan sites and local beat writers, but it is another thing to trick main stream media.

USA Today and CBS are reporting it as being accurate?

Just goes to show that anyone could do their jobs.

Im not so sure I find this joke that funny. Kudos to b rian for pulling it off but we are talking about national media journalists who are too lazy to check the rules before reporting this. It is clear someone is using a forum for its resouce and they are claiming it originated from Clayton. It really makes you wonder how accurate other articles and leaks are that they report. They should fire people for putting their names on articles like this.

I knew the media was getting lazier in reporting (see this year's Presidential campaign coverage) but to get fooled like that, is ridiculous.

 It takes about 10 seconds to google and find the rule they are talking about, which has nothing to do with personnel moves...other than moving personnel off the field.

I can't remember the last time I read USA Today. Probably a free copy in a motel on a road trip.

I think the last time I read it was the international version like 6 years ago...it's been awhile.

The joke, meh.. Either way. But the fact that its in USA Today as fact. Wow. Someone should be held accountable for this weak arse effort.

JT's 2nd rounder forfeited if...?

I saw posted on a board somewhere(I think it was to Salguero's blog) that we would forfeit our second round pick for Jason Taylor that we got from Washington if we were to re-sign him before the draft, thus the logic of waiting until after the draft to re-sign him. Anyone else heard/can confirm this?

Bro, that article was an April fools joke. Dont worry, Its completely untrue
