I was on the kffl`s 49ers message board and 1 of the guys said that both sides have agreed to a contract but are waiting 2 see if there will be a new collective bargainig agreement

take it as you want but i wont believe it until i see it i dont know how credible this guy is

I am glad to hear that they both agreed to a contract. I just hope that Smith will sign very soon.

I suspect he'll get a slightly lower contract with less guranteed money... very incentive laiden and back loaded.

WOW the contract was a lot more then I expected and if Ronnie gets a similar contract I think he should put up some huge numbers for a rookie like runner-up or rookie of the year.

man alex smith i thought was pretty good but is he worth that kind of money or will he just be a bust guess only time will tell.
