Adam Schefter of NFL network just reported on NFL Total Access that if Miami trades for Green and he thinks they will, Miami will realease Daunte Culpepper. Shefter said that Miami will in no way keep both QB and DC is likely on his way out. If released Oakland might be his most likely destination.

Adam reported that Trent Green has the pole position to land in Miami and that if he indeed does,,,the franchise can not carry the salaries of two starting quarterbacks and that Culpepper will likely be released.
He also stated that the likely landing spot for Culpepper will be Oakland and David Carr to Minnesota.

I can't believe what came out of Shefter's lips?

He stated that MIA "wants" to release Culpepper if they trade for Adam and Eve's first born son? What the heck???

How can one fathom a team trading for an old fart. Then "releasing" and not at least attempting to trade a Pro Bowl QB?

If this absolutely crazy rumor is true...I am seriously doubting Cameron right now.

At the very least, "trade" Culpepper for Randy Moss. And why Green? Isn't he 137 years old?

And then, oh no! We are then obviously trading up for Quinn! No!!!!!!!!!!!

How much is it going to cost us? Cameron, are you INSANE!

If Daunte is cut, I will be crossing my fingers for Brady on April 28th.

Quinn, not Tom.

he said the same thing about carr, that we wont pwy 2 qbs starter money,. green the front runner but carr is also in the mix. either way if we sign one then DC is gone.

I was just about to post this myself but you beat me to it. The way he said it seemed like he was pretty sure that DC would be out of Miami and that we were definitely going to get trent green which i personally am not a big fan of that move.

Pretty obvious news here. Green and Culpepper won't be on the same roster. I think Shefter is right, but the end of this month, Trent Green will probably be a Dolphin, and Culpepper will be on the market.

Here's an interesting thought. If Culpepper goes to Oakland, Carr goes to Minnesota, and with the Texans getting Shaub, this means 3 teams in front of us who were currently in the QB market now have big name QBs. Hmm... if this all works out, we could get our dream scenario of Green and Quinn.

Do you guys think the Raiders would still take Russel even if they had Culpepper?

Breathe, if anything, it means Daunte isnth healthy.

Fact is, we wouldnt be cutting a healthy Daunte Culpepper.

Seriously though this is actually a great move by Cameron, getting rid of Sabans mess.

This is great news, the best possible thing that could happen for the team. Then draft Quinn, Stanton, Edwards, Smith, or Rowe and I think we would be set at the QB position.

Buh bye CP!!!!!

:bye:

[mod] Bring something constructive to the thread, not lot of whining [/mod]

If this scenario is true...then I would think we would "trade" Culpepper to OAK for Moss.

Then, OAK would take Calvin #1 overall instead of Russell.

In this scenario, MIA trades up with either DET or CLE for Russell or Quinn.

But I absolutely HATE this crazy Cameron!

I mean, old man Green??? He was around when Cain killed Abel and helped Noah build the ark, I believe!

I don't like not giving Culpepper a chance. Especially after about 5 or 6 players just got done voicing their endorsement for Culpepper to be the QB.

We need to fire Cameron! :fire:
