Brooks may or may not help us for the upcoming season but in the long run, this guy will be all pro Lb in this league. the one position this team is lacking right now with talent is the Lb pos and i think Saban knows this. I wouldn't be surprised to see Saban and co. give up a 2nd or 3rd sup. pick for him. He has tremndous talent and upside to him. Who is to say what talent will be out there at the Lb pos at next years draft. With guys like Spragan and Hodge ready to step into a starting role on this years team, i think my mideseason Brooks would be familiar with everything in the system to start, if not no biggie. I think with patience even Manny Wright will turn out just fine.

I agree that getting him should be a top priority. I dont agree that its going to take a 2nd to get him. I see us selecting him with our 4th. This kid would have possibly been the top defensive player in the draft had he played this past season. If we do end up getting him I could see him making an immediate impact on this defense.

With the help of the dolphins family and Saban himself i can guarantee that he would stay out of trouble. Once in the nfl i bet he changes his ways.

i hope we get him too...we missed out on arrington so lets get brooks...i wonder what round saban would take a chance on him...i have read that he has 1st round talent but the trouble may push him down to a 4th...do you guys think he will go higher than that?? and what round do you think saban would take him??

i think Brooks will be gone by the 3rd round. Im hoping Saban plucks him up in the 3rd or maybe the 2nd..it seems we never have a 2nd anyways so why bother ...Go get him Nick !

while i agree he would be a tremendous addition in the long run, his character issues coupled with the fact that I believe he would need significant time learning our schemes and creating a niche on the roster before being able to contribute leads me to believe Saban should not risk a first day pick on him. round 4 or 5 at best. let another team reach for him if anything, we all know that saban drafts players that are studs or big time contributors on day 1

hey nj fan..im from nj too....i think if he doesnt start this yearthen next year for sure he starts. If he isnt ready to play this year as a starter put him on special teams or the practice squad....either way he is worth the pick...
