Howard cut Cleo starts bold Prediction!

Ok here it is Reggie Howard will be cut by the end of this week I'm saying Monday! "reason" Saban needs to make a statement. Cleo Lemon will start. Gus did a a-ok job, but his mechanics and descision making is piss poor. Welker was wide open for a TD and Mcmichael was also open, but goes he to Chambers who isn't doing anything lately, God I welcome Terrell Owens now I'm sorry people, but Owens is a play maker and Chambers just isnt cutting it. also I think we will see more Ronnie Brown too. Well there it is, go ahead and rip a new one but that's what I'm thinking.

If you blame Frerotte for this one...

then you are totally lost. I'm not saying I don't wish we had a better QB. But Frerotte played well. Frerotte is not the strength of this team and he knows it. But he runs the plays that pass happy Linehan calls and he ran them well today. There were 6 or 7 drops today as well. We should have ran more. WAY more. But 360 yards and 2 TDs even WITH 6 or so drops is pretty damn good. I'm waiting for all the bash Frerotte threads when people should be bitching about Linehan. We all know Frerotte can't carry a team, so why doesn't the O.C.? I swear, I think he is trying to make Gus look good. Gus responded better today than he has all season. But all the early mistakes added up to another let down. But Gus was not in control of any of the lost opportunities that ultimately decided the game.
 
What About Putting Some Blame On............

Everyone in here is so quick to blame Chambers. Granted, he did drop like 4-5 passes today, but even with those drops, we should have won.

Why is no-one here placing ANY blame on Reggie Howard??????? This guy was continually beat today, biting on an average play action.....going for a pick on a 45 yard toss, and being out muscled.......c'mon Saban, how many chances you gonna give this guy????:shakeno:

Agreed. This was all on the WRs and TEs/ Way too many drops, and the defensive secondary.
 
None of that will probably happen but i agree with you 210%
 
Did Frerotte do OK today? Yes
Did Frerotte choke at the end? Yes
Are we now 3-6? Yes
Have we won a game in the division? No
Are we going to the playoffs? No
Is it time to see what else we have at QB? An emphatic YES!!!
 
And now that the season is over.....gus, sage, cleo ?

For me it's clear, season over, so test sage and cleo, nothing to loose and work for next year....but does coach think like me ?
 
You also sit Jason Taylor at this point. Don't inflame his foot any more.
 
Gus had a good game, he still made some mistakes but he is not even cloes to the reason we lost. The biggest reason that comes to mind............ Reggie Howard.... Olindo Mare would be a close second.
