Ryan Fitzpatrick ?

19-30 310 3 TD 1 INT

stepped in nicely for the rams earlier today .. he has amazing recievers in Holt and Bruce but what do you all think? For a rookie he made great decisions and had great pocket prescence. Is he worth pursuing in the off season or was it just a lucky game?

Its one game against a terrible team, cant tell much from it, even though it was impressive, i need more to make a fair judgement on him.

I was interested in him before the draft:

David Greene would be a steal in the fifth-round. I've seen Fitzpatrick play, and I'd definitely take him in the seventh-round. I highly doubt he's going to fall that far, though. They're the only two remaining QBs that I'm interested in, but I wouldn't take either one at #104.

It looks like we're going to stick with Feeley and Frerotte.

I'd absolutely love to see Leinart enter the supplemental draft...

I'm rooting for:

#104 - Michael Munoz (OT - Tennessee), Elton Brown (OG - Virginia), Ben Wilkerson (C - LSU), Fred Gibson (WR - Georgia) or Anttaj Hawthorne (DT - Wisconsin)

#162 -Travis Daniels (CB/S - LSU), Larry Brackins (WR - Pearl River CC) or Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB - Harvard)

#216 - Larry Brackins (WR - Pearl River CC), Ryan Fitzpatrick (QB - Harvard), Brandon Jacobs (RB/FB - Southern Illinois) or Roger Cooper (LB - Montana State)

I know it's just one game against a very bad team, but it's still very impressive for a rookie's first game. Has any other rookie thrown three TDs in their first regular season game? I think Marino threw two or three in his first game, but I can't think of anybody else.

I was disappointed we didn't get Fitzpatrick, and now I'm even more disappointed. Hopefully we'll get Leinart or Quinn this year, or trade for Rivers.

One game, vs a Terrible teams, with great offensive weapons around him, in a solid offensive system. 19-30 isn't THAT impressive, especially with Bruce and Holt and Jackson and whatever the hell else the Rams have nowadays. If he continues to play well maybe, but certainly i wouldn't go after anymore career "5 game starters" this off-season.....(cough, cough Feeley)

I'm not even gonna consider thinking about a bandwagon. But man, for any rookie QB to do that in a debut is frickin impressive. This guy threw some amazing passes and showed great command. He has great recievers, but when he hits them in stride most should catch it anyway.

Fitzpatrick did have an outstanding game, but you got to look at the little things. He has great WR's, they are playing against a horrible defense and did I mentioned that they was playing against a horrible defense?

And did you see what Sage and Gus did agaisn the browns? Credit a defense for allowing oppurtunities, but some QB's couldn't play catch with their recievers even without a defense there. We've seen Gus try to hit long passes all year and only connect rarely. This guys was hitting recievers in stride and throwing the ball right where it needs to be....Even good defenses can't stop that all the time.

I didn't mean to downplay on Fitz. What I was trying to get across was that he did play well, but just don't look deep into him being a great QB.

I agree. It will be interesting to see if he plays this week.

Fitzpatrick looked pretty good yesterday. He had good pocket presense, lead his receivers well, & had surprising good arm but I wouldn't pursue him in the offseason.

Ryan Fitzpatrick

I watched the Rams game yesterday and was very impressed with the Rams 3rd string rookie QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. He was against a poor defense but looked very good behind a O-line possible worse than the fins. He's worth keeping an eye on.

It might have been a fluke, but I don't think he is
