Len P. thinks Vince Young is leaning towards declaring for the draft

I was listening to the Sports Bash on ESPN radio and Len Pasguarelli (sp?) reiterated the news about Vince Young's family preparing an interview process for potential agents. Then he said that he thought that VY was leaning towards declaring for the draft.

Also Mel Kiper was on a later show and said that if Leinart, Quinn and Young were all in the same draft that he thought Quinn would go first, Leinart next followed by Young. (Not consecutively) (pending bowl game performances and workouts of course) He also said that he thought Young was more likely to declare than Quinn.

Nothing groundbreaking, but I thought would be interested in hearing this.

Why would Saban draft Vince Young? We already have two good RBs

sorry, i've never been a big fan of bad quarterbacks

Anyone who can call Young a bad QB is the next Mel Kipper

Notice I never said Leinart was a bad QB, and admitted at this stage he is better than young, but in the long run Young will develop more

Thats funny because I have been saying I wouldn't be surprised if Quinn jumps Leinart. I wouldn't mind Young, but I doubt we are in position for him. He has mechanics problems, but he has loads of upside.

your opinion on leinart means nothing on my opinion on young. if young can somehow learn to read defenses and somehow become accurate and get good arm strength somehow, as well as SOMEHOW change his mechanics, as well as SOMEHOW put some bulk on his body, then i GUESS he MAY develop more than leinart

The teams below us arnt really looking for QB's as bad as some people think, most drafted young guys in the second or third round last year and they might be looking to give those guys shots

If not young id like Omar Jacobs from Bowling Green

Young has more arm strength than Leinart

I will fight that till the end

besides young doesnt have that big a problem reading defenses

The NFL has changed. DE and OLB are speed positions and DT's are more athletic than they've ever been. Why are so many Dolfans refusing to accept that a Marino type quarterback (stand in the pocket and gun) is never again going to grace our field? Let's face it, you need a mobile QB in this league and one that can throw on the run. For my money, I haven't seen one in college doing those two things better than VY. Oh, and he'll kill you from the pocket too. I SAY DRAFT VINCE YOUNG. THE LAST TIME WE DRAFTED A QUALITY QB, I.E. DAN...WE WON VERY OFTEN!!
