Yeah, as long as it keeps to it present predicted course by NOAA. But if she decides to not turn back north and a make a beeline for Florida, it will be a different story. I think we will know by late Friday for sure. NOAA had been pretty good a t predicting the landfall location within 48-72 hours before it's supposed to occur.

I for one hope she turns north, Florida has been beaten up enough this year from these storms.
 
Just read on CNN as I fired up my computer that this MF just killed between 1000 -2000 people in the S. carib. That's no joke.
 
I am so sick of these Hurricanes! I read earlier this week that sometime in the near future we may be able to nuke these hurricanes before they hit the USA.

Actually, it's not that strange for a Hurricane to move this way.
They are known to be very unpredictable. While not the majority of them make moves this drastic, the history of Hurricanes are filled with storms that have made similar and even more drastic direction changes.
It's what makes them so dangerous. They are complete wildcards.

Looks like Sunday's game may be in trouble.....
 
I just drove down for this game! Does anyone know if they are preparing to move it to Saturday if they forsee any problems from the hurricane?? Or will they cancel it....I know last time they planned a few days ahead to move it to Saturday but I haven't heard anything as of yet
 
Because of the Hurricane what are the chances of the game getting moved to Sat?

Of course I bought 6 tickets to the game yesterday only to find out this morning that this wacky-doodle hurricane has totally turned around and is aiming towards finishing off Palm Beach around game time on Sunday. I know it doesn't look like it's getting that close to the stadium but the Dolphins will suffer a PR nightmare if they callously still hold the game while their northern neghbors only one county away get whacked by this thing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to move up the game to Sat? I know last time they moved it and Miami didn't even get rain from Ivan. But, they need to make these decisions a few days out because theres a lot of work involved with moving the game up a day?

Likelihoods?

In breaking news, hurricane jeane which initially looked like it was going to go NE has done a complete circle and is coming back to florida. Current tracks show it hitting the coastline of Florida around Palm Beach county and riding north to the Carolinas.

On a personal note from a floridian, I am really sick of this this $#!*If you scroll down on that link i sent you'll see that Lisa is in the mix next. GRAAHAHHHH My beloved fins aren't winning, and my house keeps getting pelted with hurricanes. When will the misery of the dolphins losing and the hurricanes hitting END ???????? :mad: :mad: :mad:
What did florida do to piss so many people off????
 
I just posted almost the same thing seconds after you LOL. Well right now it looks like its going north and we'll be OK. But this hurricane is a crazy one and could very easily hit us in south florida. According to the wind bands we should expect 34-60MPH winds and rains!!.

I feel ya dude. I run a hotel in Naples. Even though we aren't targeted for this one we still go through hell with all the reservation calls and the stress from people evacuating. Some people say we get business out of it but I don't like to make money off people's suffering. If it turns I don't charge anyone who cancels regardless of the cancellation policy My whole staff is going to need a 12 step program. My in-laws live in West Palm too so I'm worried about them.

I'm going to the game rain or shine. Not that I have much choice as the tickets are non-refundable anyways.
 
non-refundable???:(...damn....if that thing hits WP on Sunday, there won't be a game in Miami....
 
I'm supposed to get on a plane out of JFK tomorrow...meet a buddy in Orlando and drive down. Man.....if ANYONE hears news of the game being moved to Saturday or cancelled, PLEASE post ASAP! I don't want to waste a flight down there for nothing!
