from anyone because of his baggage. When will this guy realize this?

He needs to sign a one year deal and show he can still play and not be a malcontent.

There is zero chance of him getting a big long term deal.

It could be the waiting game..

It might be that we are looking at drafting a LB....I know thats been mentioned alot...There will be plenty of LBs to choose from this yr....deep LB draft is hurting him signing anywhere....AND PRICE TOO.....

I've read and heard all the rhetoric about him wanting the same or nearly the same money as Peterson and the $10 mil gauranteed, but there just has to be more to this saga than the money. If it were strictly about the money, then the two sides would have come to an agreement. I still think that there is more to his injured knee issues than what is being bantered about. Unless, Saban is offering no where near the figures we've all heard, which doesn't make too much sense on his part, provided he feels that LA is worth it. If he doesn't, because of the knees, then he's not going to be offering near enough to what it'll take to get him to sign...right now...

Good point man..also,his agents are about as bad as drew scuminrhouse:fire:

He had Better Sign BEFORE the Draft....

I would think after the Draft...his $ might have to drop...?

Your sadly mistaken if you think he wont get a multi-year deal from someone

We are going to need a considerable amount of money to sign our draft pics?

I'm not sure I'm seeing him fit in
How so?.We don't have a #2,#5and a#6. If anything..we will have to allocate less money this year than normal.

not neccessarily so...I'm not sure how it really does shake out be we have already commited money to those picks...even if they were spent in free agency.

I agree..a portion of our cap goes to the draft picks. My point is that missing a couple of picks this year naturally will lead to less money allocated to draft picks.

You are right about the fewer picks, but also we don't have a high pick to sign this year like a #2 pick for Ronnie last year that naturally requires a bigger contract. If Saban trades down for more picks that will lesson the amount paid even more for a mid-first round pick.

Maybe Saban can convince him to come here by offering him $10 Million but base it heavily on a lot of incentives, like we did with DC's contract. If he makes a certain number of tackles, plays in a certain number of games, makes the pro bowl, etc., he gets his 10 mill.

He's already been offered it by two teams, one including Jacksonville. So yes he will.

Giants stepping away from Arrington?

Giants | Team stepping back from Arrington?Sun, 9 Apr 2006 09:10:24 -0700
Chris Harry, of the Orlando Sentinel, reports the New York Giants reportedly took a step back from free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) last week. They reportedly took a step back when agent Carl Poston threw out numbers in the seven-year, $54 million range, with a signing-bonus demand of $14 million :shakeno:
