Speculation on Cold Pizza says that Parcells may be available if Dallas is bounced from the playoffs. Apparently a huge rift might be developing between Jones and Bill. I'll tell you one thing. If he's available we have to try to get him. He will probably only coach for a few years but he has one of the best eyes for coaching assistants in the NFL that would allow us to hire from within when he retires.

Parcells is a genius and more importantly he understands personnell. He understands both defense and offense. We would be set for a long time if we could get him here for a couple of years.

No thanks.

He had everything he needed to succeed at Dallas and
couldn't ge the job done, finally turning to TO
to try to bail him out.

Plus, I doubt he'll coach again if he's bounced from Dallas,
by his choice. If he does, it won't be for long.

Don't get me wrong, I have loads of respect for the man, but,
he's not the coach he once was.

No. I've seen the situation he has in Dallas. The guy is tired and worn out. He simply doesn't have the fire anymore that he used too. I personally think he's gone no matter what happens in the playoffs but I don't think he'll coach again.

The local thought in Dallas is also that he's hindering his assistant coaches' creativity because he's doesn't want any risks.

Now you guys wanna talk about a washed up coach....Parcells is washed up

Wow you guys really think he's washed up? LOL. Alright. I'm not sure about that. I know the type of team Parcells tries to build and its a winning formula. He doesnt have his team yet, the offensive line isnt strong enough, the secondary is weak, he's got a green QB and the defense took some hits due to injury. But, I think the team is getting close to what Parcells wants. Unfortunately for him he has that clown Jones interfering. I dont think he wanted Terrell Owens. Wayne, if nothing else is the perfect type of owner for Parcells

Hes no.1 on my list.....washed up he isnt. He has to deal with a player he didnt want in the first place.

I don't think we have Dolphin pants big enough.

Haha, hilarious Pete. I miss your wit in the V.I.P. section.

However, I like Bill Parcells. For me, if he becomes available, he turns into my #1 Candidate. No one thought he'd last long in Dallas, yet this is his 4th year (a point made by CKparrothead). He has a long tradition of turning franchises into playoff contenders. He hasn't had everything in Dallas. He's completely turned that defense over since he's been there. He's turned the offense over as well. Their a coverage safety and a few OLineman away from a Super Bowl. The T.O. signing only disguised the fact that they still had concerns with their secondary and OLine.

I think Parcells would be great. He would also soften the transition. We would still be allowed to run alot of 3-4, which makes alot of the personnel we have now...be able to work. We could keep a guy like Hudson Houck for the OLine, etc. etc. I think it's a great fit.

How long does it take him with his winning formula ? He's been in Dallas for 4 seasons now. Make no mistake, Bill is doing the drafting. I'm sure Jerry did the T.O. thing but Bill is picking his own groceries for the most part. He hasn't hit on a single good offensive lineman in his time there.

The Cowboys have had 1 significant injury all year. Greg Ellis on defense. They have one of the healthiest teams in the league.

I think he's left the team in a much better position than when he got there, but he's a tired man who just doesn't want the grind anymore.

Wrong answer kid...Parcells didnt want T.O. in dallas and stated that not in so many words. The only reason TO was given a chance there is because Jones wanted him

Honestly...I believe Parcells is done...or very close to being done with football.

I love the idea of Parcells coming here. The man is a brilliant coach, he's turned every franchise he's been to into a winning team, won Super Bowls with two of them and he's worth it for the PC's alone!
