MERGED:Booker looking good !!!

Yea, hes the one player that I thought with the camcam style of offense could be a good player, but parcells power game, theres no real place for a dainty scatback like him

Well Fasno and Ayodele better pan out or this will have been a mistake IMO. I don't think Booker will be a superstar, but I still think he will have an impact. I honestly think we got a bust in Fasno and an aging and at most roll player in Ayodele, but time will tell.

We got 2 starters in Fasano and alphabet. Booker may be great in Philly but he's not the type of player you rebuild with.

I liked Booker a lot. He showed some good skills in the last couple of games last season. I had big expectations for him and was a bit gutted when he went. I'll be keeping tabs on him this season to see how he progresses

He looked really good last year in mini camps. I hope we didn't make a mistake also.

Well the Eagles are desperate for a KR/PR. Booker was less then impressive in the roll during camp last year at that either position. They did draft DeSean Jackson, but I think the Eagles wanted Booker to be a ST as well!

The bottom line is, if he's a really good player, you make a place for him.

If he turns out to be a star, yes the Dolphins will look quite stupid.

We can't be afraid of having former players go on to be good players else where especially if they are traded essentially for two starters. I wish Booker the best, but I don't feel any ounce of regret for trading a guy that was never going to get on the field.

i also hope we didn't make a mistake in getting rid of him....yes Parcells prefers a power running game and that's great, but i think Booker could've been for us what Dave Meggett was for Parcells during his 80s tenure with the Giants, but we'll never know now.

I think there needs to be more accountability than that. If the guy ends up a good player worth more than a 4th round pick, bottom line is it is their job to get a guy like that on the field and helping this team. You fit the scheme to the players you have, not the other way around. It's way too hard to get underpaid talent to just waste it by sending it off because he "doesn't fit".

all I know is the guy has a lot of talent. I wish we kept him, but I think he fits better with Philly than he did with us. He's going to be a good player in this league.

i agree with your anology. i didn't like the trade at all but moreso i didn't like the excuse given only to pick up two more guys that fit the same role(someone who is not going to play every down). while booker is not a powerback his speed/elusiveness and catching ability gave us a great chance of pace to the bruising brown/williams. and in games where the power run might not work he wouldve come in very handy.

im afraid the dolphins will end up looking very stupid for this. the best offenses are those that can adapt to whatever the d is giving them and now in the running game we can't do that as well. and those saying he wasn't a good k/p returner well we didn't need him to be because that is why we drafted ginn. im not fond of the whole "you have to be able to play st to make the team" idea..not every player is good for that.

I didn't like the trade because I think we lost value on Booker. In the end though I do like Fasano and Akin and I think both will be starters for us I consider Akin to be a solid LB not spectacular but better than anyone else we have to play the middle.

We're talking about a Parcells team here. There's no room for deviation from the plan. There's no accommodating differences. Pray no one figures out what the plan is, because we'll be in for a long season.
