Vikings trying hard to make culpepper look bad!!

anyone else notice how hard the Vikings franchise is trying, to make Daunte look bad? From first stating that he was all about the money, then Childress coming out today stating that he reminded him of to. Sounds to me like some major damage control for a trade that everyone knows they got screwed on.
Wonder what they will say when Daunte is in the pro bowl next year and they are stuck with 95 year old Brad Johson lobbing balls from his wheelchair.

yea exactly i think they know that they got the bad side of the deal trading a 3 time pro bowl qb for a second round pick...many are critizing the vikings for making the trade so i guess the feel that the only way they can get back at culpepper is by making these idiotic comments they are honestly worthless and i could care less what brad childress thinks....i cant wait for the vikings game next year haha

of course they're trashing Daunte, they are tryng to save face with their fanbase for trading away a probowl caliber QB for next to nothing...so they continue to release garbage to try and make him look like the "bad guy" in which they, the new Viking regime, got rid of...

I never understood why a new HC would come out and say that? What HC comes out and says that? Not many. I could understand REeid in Philly on TO but a new guy on Culpepper? I think that is the first bad move for childress as a HC for sure. The trade would have been OK if they had just come to there senses and were patient with him. But they played the game and DC started his own deal. Saban in for the kill.

I understand the "reason" why they made the trade. But to continue to bash a guy who is no longer affliated with that organization is beyond me. I mean Childress and company just beating a dead horse. Get over it, your not going to get him back.

Actually, its a lot different than the brees situation

because none of us here are head coaches of the Minnesota Vikings...who should be providing a direction for that franchise.

yea but most of us wanted Brees and when we traded for Culpepper then we started saying we didnt want him bc of his shoulder, i think its a great point

I was one of the one's saying we should get Brees but we didn't and I'm pretty happy to have Culpepper. After everything is coming out it sounds like we got the better deal.

exactly, if everyone knew back then what we know now about Brees' shoulder and his failed physical he wouldn't have had so many fans wanting him here...for all we, the fans, knew at that point was that he was on track as far as the healing process goes...

Very different since he's actually a head coach. If I was a head coach I'd shut my mouth, not have been taken for a low 2nd alone (at least gotten a player out of the deal) and focused on FA's/Draft.

As the saying goes. Live in the past and get left behind.

Yeah bc if one of us were the coach there wed do something stupid like trade a franchise QB for a guy who got benched in favor of Brian Griese. Not only that but we get a guy who we let go in his prime to go win a SB for our division rival. Yeah they got it under control in Minn.:sidelol:

I'm a recruiter and this happens everyday in the "real world"...9 times outta 10 when an employee leaves a company, the company has something negative to say about that person..."he didn't fit in", "their work was sub-par anyway", "we were considering cutting them loose anyway", blah, blah, blah. It is nothing more than sour grapes!
