Merged: BREAKING NEWS....Fins to get Feeley

I'm guessing that this may well mean they got an official "No Way" from the Redskins regarding trading for Ramsey.

With Brunnell gone and Ramsey not an option, and a desire to not see Fiedler as the starter, they had to make another move. Rivers or Henson would not be the answer for this year, and maybe not the next either. So A.J Feeley was probably as good as any, as long as we still add a Henson type prospect.

I think he is better than Fiedler in one respect, everyone raved about his decision making and accuracy back when he went 4-1 with the Eagles.

this cant be happening, we have to bring in someone else too.
i'm very nervous right now

Im only ok with this move if we make a hard push to get Rivers or Henson 4-1 with Philly isnt bad for a 3rd stringer.

If we want a QB with a good record, we could just hang onto Fiedler.

I can only hope that Feeley is being brought in as a backup, but somehow, I think they're going to pass this off as "we're bringing in a couple young, hungry guys into camp to compete for the job and that will be good!"

This is NOT what I had in mind for a QB change. :fire:

I'd much rather have Ramsey over Feely, but i think Feely will become a decent starting QB. He has to be better than Fiedler but maybe they think we could address more needs by trading a lower pick for Feely than trading high picks for Henson or Ramsey.
It doesn't matter who plays QB, we need some O-Lineman here if we want to win. Maybe by gettin feely we are settin ourselves up to get a big name O-Lineman and draft a WR in the first round like a Michael Clayton or Raushaun Woods.

i have faith in spielman, and i hope he has something up his sleeve here, theres got to be more to this. there just has to be

this thread has been up for like 20 minutes and we already have 3 pages...lol thats like some kind of record

We're not done. I expected to see a draft pick go towards a QB this year.(Or next, with a Henson type of deal)I don't think that the Dolphins betting on him as our future.

wow lukin we were thinking the same thing at the exact same time...haha...except you bothered to get it percise and i just made a guess :)

Perhaps we are going to offer him and a pick to Washington for Ramsey?...........

:calm: hold on fellas. If they were planning on loosing Feidler and Greise both they're gonna have to bring in two more QBs. Maybe they still plan on persuing Henson, Rivers, or Ramsey.
.

I agree man. I think people are jumping to conclusions here. This deal cannot go down until March 4th at the earliest. So there is alot left to be explained.....like draft compensation (which I believe will involve CONDITIONAL picks).

Plus, this does not mean we are finished with QBs by any stretch of the imagination. If all goes well, we'll be losing TWO QBs. Signing Feeley could signal a competition between he and Sage for the starter's job, and a rookie sitting behind them.

Isn't that what most people have wanted?? A chance for Sage to show his wares??

Finally, Feeley's numbers look a whole lot better than Jake Delhomme's before he became Carolina's starter. So where you sit on the bench doesn't mean you can't be successful elsewhere.

I'm calling for :calm: here. Lets see where this thing goes and what moves follow it. Lets see how Feeley does before we condemn him. This isn't the end by any stretch. Hell, we haven't even begun yet. :)

They just replaced Brian, we need a # 2 or #3
Relax.
