Hi all....

Newbie here, but I just saw this on CBS Sportline....Hopefully no one beat me to the punch. If anyone did, sorry for the repost....Also....being a newbie, I don't think I can post the link. This is just the first part of the article that I cut and pasted.

[font=Arial, Helvetica]The Kansas City Chiefs were supposed to look to the draft for help at cornerback -- and they still might. They just don't have to do it in the first round.

That's because the club is on the verge of making a trade with Miami that would send disgruntled cornerback Patrick Surtain to the Chiefs for a second-round pick, the 46th overall, in Saturday's draft, NFL sources said early Friday.

The deal, which could be announced Friday, is contingent upon Surtain passing a team physical.

Apparently Clayton is reporting this as well.
 
If anything goes down, today is the day men.

And the whole disgruntled thing is rubbish. Surtain is cool with us. He wants to play here but he knows that business is business.
 
Welcome to the board and thanks for posting this info. About dang time. I only wish we would have gotten a fourth or fifth rounder as well.
 
I'd love to keep Surtain really...but gotta get at least the 2nd round pick, and i'm glad when it gets over with

same here but hey at least the deal is getting done and were getting a good pick( better then the stupid 4th pick they offered to us:tongue:)
 
Im just glad to see Saban has what it takes to win a stare down contest with another personel man. Wanny and Speilman would have settled for a conditional 6th rounder by now.

Zod...It was just a case of the blind squirrel finding the acorn. I really thought my thread would have been merged by now because I dropped the ball. :lol:
