It's been awhile so I'm not 100% sure of the circumstances at the time however it sure looks like foul-smelling water under the bridge right about now doesn't it?
 
I had never heard Brees say anything until what was just divulged by Jim Nance. If true, it's not surprising Brees got a bad vibe from the Saban.
 
What if we had chosen Brees instead?

How has this one decision changed the shape of our franchise? Opinions..
 
The way our luck goes, I bet if we took Brees, he would have stunk it up, and Culpepper would have lit it up in New Orleans the same way Brees is now.
 
How ironic that Saban wins the National Championship and in the same year, the QB he passed on wins the Lombardi.

When we played them Brees did a tell all interview. He came out how insulted he was about the 6+ hour physical the Dolphins made him do. He said the Saints and Sean Peyton welcomed him with open arms, while Miami made him jump through flaming hoops.

I love how Saban destroyed this team, walks wins a National Championship and years later during the week of the Superbowl every media outlet in the country reminded me over 100 times of Dick Satan's mistake!
