Merged: Brees to Miami or Detroit?

just heard on NFL Total Access that detroit and Miami are the only two teams that are seriously in the hunt for Brees. Unfortunatley for us though Detroit is some 79 mil under the salary cap. Thats an insane number, Im not sure if the analyst messed that up or I heard it wrong, but he thinks unless Saban throws all he has at brees (which I think he should) he might lean twords Detroit. Now I dont know what kind of player brees is but if he wants to go to a successful franchise and hes not all about the money then I would hope he would be wearing aqua and orange next year. your thoughts?

In our favor, if it indeed comes down to the two teams we have own big advantage:

We aren't Detroit.

Something tells me Brees would rather play in Miami where we are getting closer to being a contender than Detroit, where talent goes to die.

Fortunatly, if Brees has any intelligence he would realize that Detroit isn't going anywhere anytime soon, the Dolphins are 1 or 2 wins away from becoming a playoff contender.
