I saw on nfl network that he is demanding a trade. With the Donald Thomas injury and the injury histories of Grove and Smiley, I think we would be stupid to not at least look into it and see what they are asking. What do you guys think?

I got absolutely lambasted for suggesting that the interior line was not addressed as much as it should be. I think it's silly to not have somone you know can play at an NFL level ready to plug into Donald "Durability of wet toast"* Thomas's spot.

*Props to CK.

hes 32, but if it wasnt to high of a pick.. it would be retarded not to bring him in.. and like the great goon boss says
anything the dolphins do > jesus..
soo it would work out no matter what!

I feel your pain, I was TORQUED that we didn't draft any interior O-line depth. How many people can honestly say they would rather have Brian B-Real Hartline with the 4th pick rather than a Duke Robinson or Jamon Meredith. Anyone?........Anyone?....... Bueller?........Bueller?.......
Needless to say, I am extremely uncomfortable with our interior O-line situation.

That is a good thought, I was considerating this earler if the offseason when he wanted a trade and didn't report for any of the OTA's. He just reported this week so he may stay in KC. If he became available I would'nt mind a trade as long as compensation wasn't a first day pick.

Imagine...We could have had him.

Yeah, that Nalbone pick hurt when Duke and Meredith were still on the board. Nalbone could have been had in the early 6th.

As for Waters, I dont like what we'd have to trade for him.. Were not giving away anything higher than a 5th... and he's worth maybe a 3rd-5th..
Honestly i want to keep our draft picks.
Maybe we could trade brandon lond and wilford to the cheifs for him

it all depends on what they want for a draft pick..32 isn't old for a guard but how high of a pick do we have to give up and how much money is he gonna cost?? it's the same situation as anquan boldin..parcells and ireland will definitely look into it..

dudes, I wanted to draft Herman Johnson (left guard out of LSU) soooo fuggin' bad, so I feel your pain. He was also available when we picked Nalbone(head). In fact, this Nalbone kid may be the most hated 5th rounder in history, before he even plays a game.
I'm guessing Robinson dropped because of those critical false starts in the National Championship game (and yes, those were some pretty boneheaded false starts at critical times). Weight issues are the only thing I can think of for Johnson.

whoa whoa whoa,
I dont hate the Nalbone pick, when's the last time Parcells/Ireland missed on drafting a TE. Nalbone is an athletic freak, I'm glad to have him, i know he'll succeed, I just think it was a tad reach, but not one to be upset about. I'd be upset if we drafted Mike Mitchell, the Oakland safety... But not Nalbone..
Who expected Thomas to get hurt? Come on, your just saying this because he's injured. While i love DThom, he hasn't even payed a down yet.

Joe Berger, Frye, Allemen and Ndukwe can get the job done short or long term if Thomas isn't ready.. I also hear Murphy gained weight and has got WAY stronger...

Nalbone is not the most hated 5th rounder by any means, and maybe he takes Martin's job since both Fasano and Martin are upcomming FA's. It'll probably be Fasano/Nalbone/Haynos in the long run.

Now that i think about it, screw B. Waters.

well said, I retract my previous assanine comments (must be the full moon).

I would offer Wilford, J. Allen, one of our back up guards, and a bag of chips for Waters but no picks.
One thing you have to remember if he isn't happy starting in KC he isn't coming here to compete for a job. He will be the starter period, and he will want some significant coin.

Who hasn't played a down yet? I know you aren't talking about Thomas. He most assuredly played enough downs to have him penciled in on every depth chart as the starter. Who expected him to get hurt? Hm. One career start, one season on IR. Who indeed. I know it's just silly to be pragmatic, but, dude....c'mon.

Muphey was great last year. He's not taken an NFL snap. Berger is so good he's on his 2nd tour with us, and, his 3rd NFL team. Alleman blows ***. I don't know if you were watching last year. ND got shot putted into Ronnie Brown when he faced a good lineman.

Nalbone ain't taking Fasano's job. If he's on this team, he's taking Denny's job.

Now that i think about it, screw B. Waters.

Sure hope you are right.
