The Dolphins and Bucs have had conversations about a potential Jason Taylor trade, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

The Bucs have been interested in just about everyone this offseason, beginning with the start of free agency, but have only made lowball offers. The Bucs may be dangling their second-round pick (No. 52), but nothing more.

Stephen Holder, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had discussions with the Miami Dolphins about a possible trade to acquire LB Jason Taylor, for the Buccaneers second-round draft pick.

"Here's the latest tidbit I've dug up through various channels: there appears to have been some discussion between the Dolphins and Bucs about a possible deal that would bring Jason Taylor to Tampa, probably for the Bucs' second-round pick. I've also been told that Taylor is not opposed to the idea because he has informed associates he would like to remain in Florida if traded."

Still say I love the deal and would do it in a heartbeat. Maybe throw in a 5th, but I wouldnt necessary call off the deal if they didnt.

the possibility of having three 2nd rd picks would be awesome. miami needs toto jump on this

Seems to me Parcells is calling Jax's bluff. JAX doesn't want to trade their 1st Round pick. Parcells wants at least that much value from the trade.

TB and WAS were brought in to secure the additional mid / late round pic from Jax.

I think we'll get a 2nd and 4th or 5th round pick before this is done.

FINALLY, were seeing a FO that KNOWS how to generate trades and deals we've only dreamed about. This is a First Class Front Office.

Darn proud to be a Dolphin fan right now. Even my friends (fans of other teams) don't laugh any more. They know the new Sheriff means business.

Smile Dolphin fans, our time is coming.

Agree except for the Redskins part. You don't strengthen your case when you get rebuffed trying to trade a player. Makes Jax think we'll come crawling back to them instead of them upping their offer.

Actually, it shows that you will not sit by and allow JAX to monopolize the bidding. Who's to say Parcells and Co. didn't pick a partner they knew would rebuff them in order to get the press?

Jake Long was the target the whole time. But, we did contact Gholston. We did give Jake a Tuesday deadline. And then we were moving on to Chris.

Same principal here. JAX is the desired partner. We're simply threatening with WAS and TB to get JAX off their arses. We're dictating the terms. Not JAX.

JT is a proven and desirable commodity. Other teams we do not know about have inquired; gauranteed. This is simply smart negotiating tactics.

this is the first time I saw it mentioned that JT wanted to stay in FL if traded
