I just picked up the Lindy's pro football 2007 preview magazine and here are some interesting quotes from " the nfl's best players and units " article.

Quarterbacks- Best Rookie- John Beck, Miami
Wide Recievers- Best Rookie- Ted Ginn Jr, Miami
Tight Ends/ H-Backs- Breakout Tandem- David Martin & Justin Peele, Miami
Running Backs- Best Trio- Ronnie Brown, Lorenzo Booker & Ricky Williams, Miami
Offensive Tackle- Breakout Season- Vernon Carey, Miami
Offensive Guard- L.J. Shelton is ranked 9th in the league on the right side
Offensive Center- Rex Hadnot is ranked 6th in the league

That's it for the offense:
Obviously Ricky is not a part of the picture any more but it seems to me that there is a very bright future on this side of the ball.

Did they put Ted Ginn ahead of Calvin Johnson?

Ginn is rated in the "AFC" as the best, Calvin is rated as the best in the "NFC", if they compared them head to head Johnson would be the obvious choice as best.

i read them to see what they think. i dont go by all that stuff tho, i go by facts. its good to hear some optimism tho

:)
Aren't they all!!? The editor admits that only 6 of the 12 teams they picked last year made the playoffs! 4 the year before that! They are as accurate as the weather man!:)
I`m surprised people still buy those preview magazines, what with all the internet info out there. They`ve got nice pics though.

There's actually some really good articles on players, coaches and oh ya cheerleaders, pictures not articles!:)

i hardly agree with any of these selections...we dont know much about martin and peele is a blocking tight end...and another thing ricky is long gone

What I think makes it worse is that they practically stumble over each other to have the first one out. I usually prefer a preview that's a bit fresher and up-to-date than something that comes out before Training Camp even starts.

Thanks for the info.

I really like our skills position players but the season, once again, is going to go as the OL goes.
