For one we dont know wat this whole ricky drug failed test could be

It could be a legal substance that many players test positive for but because its ricky everythng immediately becomes public.

Also if it is true we need to realize

1. We have ronnie brown
2. Sammy Morris is a very servicable RB/FB combo player that can do thigns for us.
3. Saban will not let this effect the locker roome like wanny did.
4. There are alot of vets on our team.
5. This is nowhere like the 2003/2004 incident becuase of the fact that we have an offensive system that was a pass first toward teh end of the season and was very effective, despite a suspect QB.
6. The 2003/2004 incident hurt so bad cause our offensive system was Ricky now he is just a part of it.

What hurts is the draft pick we could of gotten, to get younger and better on defense, or improve our Oline, or trade for a QB.

.

Even if a legal substance, if its on the NFL's list of banned substances. He's gone for a year. Doesn't make it any less worse!

He failed a drug test, doesnt matter what it is. It's not abiding by league rules and now he's gonna pay for it.

I'm perfectly calm. Wish we'd been able to trade him for a 4th rounder, but I don't think this is a huge loss with Ronnie Brown taking over.

Its not the end of the season.
Relax.

Try it with me. Deep calming breaths.
ready

inhale

hold

exhale

repeat.

Ahhhhh. Feel calmer yet?

This won't hurt like the first time this happened. We have plenty of time to adjust and we have ronnie. But what a dope he is. Time to tell him to pack his bag and go back to India.

Dont worry no need to tell him, wonder how will he pay Wayne? His salary was cheap and damn he will make much less frying burgers.

Look at it this way...

Having Ricky for the past year paid the expected dividend. Ronnie didn't have to carry the whole load in his first season. He had a chance to learn a system and will now have a full preseason to come into the regular season ready to make a splash!
I'm disappointed we lose Ricky again and get nothing..again. But he did help the team this past year and we didn't pay anything more for him.
I'm just glad this happened BEFORE the draft so Saban can make the necessary adjustments.

im not so sure nick saban has any control of how the locker room gets, it depends if the veterens such as J.T. and Z.T can lead.

It would of been soooo much better had it happened anywhere after March 3rd, we where moving him for whatever the best offer was, had he waited till after the draft we would had been laughing our behinds off at the Broncos or Colts.
