Merged: Cam doesn't like Culppepper according to another GM.

...word out of Florida is that the new head coach doesn’t believe Daunte Culpepper will ever be of any use to the Dolphins.

“We keep hearing that Cam doesn’t like Culpepper,†said a rival GM. “You have to think that Cam will make a move because he has a solid defense and he has a chance to win now with Green.â€Â
I would not be surprised to see C-Pep go. I can understand what Cam and Randy are trying to do. They have already removed excess baggage and maybe, just maybe, Dante is next in line. There was always speculation as to whether he could fully recover from a severe knee injury. Perhaps, those fears are coming to fruition.

Nick Satan could have chosen to sign Drew Brees, but went with team doctors' advice. What a difference a season makes. I feel as though we have been held back year after year by not drafting a quarterback for the future. Now, with Mueller on board as GM, we will draft a QB to foster.

It is possible that Trent Green could do for us what Gus Frerotte did for us in 2005 (if not better). If he is better prepared to run our offense than David Carr, then go with him. Let's just hope that he has no lingering affects from his concussion.

if it's true, I truly feel sorry for DC. The guy seemed really happy to be here, and accoarding to everything I read was really dedicated to getting his A game back for himself and the Fins franchise.

Glad to hear it. I hope he's gone before training camp. It's time for Cam and Mueller to take our team in the right direction.

My thoughts exactly.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

pay no more then a 6th for trent green or address QB in the draft and get brady quinn because culpepper cannot cut it in this offense

I agree. I thought that the only reason we were going after Green was to keep the seat warm for a rookie, but obviously that's not what Cam is planning. I mean maybe it is and maybe he's just trying to get a twofer out of the deal. I will say that it's pretty exciting to think that Cam and Mueller think were that close to a championship.

I don't think that they believe we're that close to contending for a title. I do think that they believe Green gives them a better chance to win games, in general.

I cannot see giving up a high draft pick or multiple low draft picks for Green. He just doesn't have enough in the tank to warrant that. I think Green is a mistake.

We do have a solid defense but even with Green I think the offense has a ways to go before they turn the corner. We have a lot of holes to fill and we need to get some young talent in this orginization, aka draft. Now if they want Pep for Green straight up fine.

I'd stay with the 7th we're offering...maybe a 6th but that's it....I'd try and get Carr here and then draft a QB...I like Stanton, Kolb and Beck....I don't think we have a shot at Quinn.

Ozzy rules!!

As the players always say, it's a business, it cuts both ways.........

I agree. I also believe that regardless of the fact that Stanton / Kolb aren't getting as much hype as Quinn, both Qb's could be just as productive with solid coaching / mentoring behind them. I'd be comfortable with either one of them really. We really need to focus on the OL in round one in my opinion.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!
