But unless Cameron - who has guided one of the league's most prolific offenses over the past five seasons but was only 18-37 as head coach of Indiana - blows away the Dolphins hierarchy, it appears that Gailey, 55, has surpassed fellow candidates' Jim Mora, Dom Capers and Mike Shula to become the franchise's seventh head coach.

I like Gailey although being this close to the games I was thinking maybe they hold out to see if Rivera got knocked outta the playoffs.

sunsentinel gailey the likely choice!

:shakeno: im starting to believe this because marino and shula are his biggest backers..we do need offense im only ok with this if gailey is the coach for 1 year then passes the baton to coach chin in 2008 which by the way hiring gailey may increase our chances at getting cowher power..but if that's not in the cards then wayne you must sell this team your a dope and so is everyone involved with making decisions for our beloved fins!:dolphins:  :boohoo: :shakeno: by the way screw sid on 790!!!!!!!!!

Link broken, I dont think there is a front runner right now. The media is saying everything from Mora to Gailey to Capers to Cameron. It's all just opinions. I would say the closest to the Phins is Armando Salguero, he said Mora but I'd be willing to bet they all start throwing Cameron's name around tommorow

i like gailey for only one season god we only pray he passes baton to coach chin in 2008

Ok think the link is fixed. Looks like they changed it up ;p

It's a win win situation then for you. Either Gailey does a good job or they go after Cowher. I just hope Gailey does a good job and then nobody has to worry.

I don't Gailey at all, but why would he come for only one year?

If it is Gailey....I can see the Seasons Tix DROP like Never before....

No s-it! I can also see this happening. The only half way decent coach would be Mora JR, at leat he took his team to a NFC title game with Vick. The same cant be said of Gailey or anyone else.

Gailey or Cam isnt the answer...

If its Gailey, its not the worst choice. Not the most exciting, but the "safest" pick, imo.

gaily would be a great hire we went 11-5 and 10- with him and jay F was our qb with lito sheperd and og as our wr he 18-14 in the nfl and has been to 5 bowl games in a row in a tough acc with reggie ball has his qb o and selling tickets dont win super bowls
