MERGED: Channel 7 video - Wright crying

I dont see what the big deal is. If I had to wear Teal and Orange, I would cry too
 
what's wrong with him crying, it shows that he cares. imo he's probably not crying b/c saban was too hard on him, he's crying b/c he's pissed at himself and wants to do well. football is a game that brings out all types of emotion- some people may yell and scream to get themselves up, while others may get themselves so psyched up that tears start streaming down their cheeks. i've seen players tear up in practice, and nobody thought anything less of them, and i don't think anything less of wright.

yeah, well I doubt saban would've drafted this guy, or jumped his *** without seeing some serious potential in there. Saban is going to break this kid down and rebuild him into a man. Welcome to saban's boot camp kid, get your crying over with, now lets get back to work.
 
how can you call a guy who has done nothing but impress in training camp so far and who we picked in the 5TH round a waste of a pick?

That was a ridiculous post. Underwood was bipolar I believe, and ended up slashing his own throat. That's a far cry from a rookie becoming overly emotional at camp. Give the guy a break. Saban looks to be a tremendous manager of people, and I'm sure he'll take Wright aside and build him up a little.
 
yeah...i'm in the "give the guy a break" camp. Some people's natural reaction to stress is to cry...doesn't mean he's not tough or anything....
 
before some of you jump down his throat, do you think that he possibly had an underlying cause for being emotional.....the guy may have a relative that's sick and he's overwhelmed right now....give him a frikkin break before you throw him to the wolves and say he's a wasted draft pick......

Completely not true. This is archaic thinking. Today's athlete is a composite of a myriad of factors including athleticism, personality, temperment, intelligence, and an X factor or the ability to have that 6th sense about where the action or ball will be. In this moment we only have conjecture to know why Wright broke down. Maybe for this guy this is exactly what he needs.

In my opinion Saban would not be screaming at the kid if he did not matter. He wants this kid to make it, but the kid has got to meet Saban in the middle and do his part. A nice shock to his system could wake his *** up so he fights back.

So I am holding out judgement. If he fights and becomes someone his crying will be respected as a moment of character building for the kid, if he does not then he was not up to the mustard.
