I think it's a little that for that
after trying to decipher your coded message, are you implying that he is a wasted pick already??? If you are such a superior evaluator of talent, maybe you should apply for the general manager position.....you see athletes cry all the time when they lose a big game.....does that mean they suck!!??

I agree

My Take....Manuel was probably feeling pretty good he was having his way with Seth and looking like the "Golden boy" probably getting some praise from the coaches during drills....Saban then notices (and was probably looking for) him slacking during sprints and does what any coach would do and Rips him a new one....Now after feeling pretty good about himself Manuel gets a rather large dose of criticism and im sure in that moment of berating one of the last things on his mind was "what are the other players thinking?" in that moment in his young life it was just him and his coach.. and im pretty sure if Nick told him "See that wall ?? Run through it!" he would have been off like a Rocket. Sounds like good coaching to me and he is giving Manuel EXACTLY what he needs some tough love.

*EDIT* Im sure he will be able to handle the locker room Jibes It might even make him nastier.... I can see It now Olindo calling him a Baby...

Mare gonna get ripped too if he doesn't make FGs, thats his only job so he better do it well

Come on guys; emotional reactions are not all bad

The testosterone is ozzing out of this site. I don't care if he cries or not as long as he learns his position and matures over time. God, I am so glad my life is not mirrored by cameras and public opinion.

Saban on post-practice interview at official site:

Manny Wright, who was in and out of practice today as well as last night in a red-shirt, ya know ya got a guy who came out for the supplemental draft, he's probably not in as good a shape as he needs to be in, having some of the same, ya know, issues and problems [as Kevin Vickerson] with soreness, tight back, these types of things, so we're trying to work him and manage him through it as best we can.

As you well know young players need to develop the kind of mental toughness and
attitude that they need to be professionals, so we're trying to help him with that too, aight, which, maybe we need to get on him a little bit at times, which, I got on him about what we wanted him to try to do at least today to work himself through it and he responded well to it.

This was thrown out In the context of after having first discussed Owen Thompson (new OL), Kevin Vickerson, then Wright (followed by RopeWeed convo). Sounds like someone's making a big todo about nothing.

Ozzing?

Wrong word there; just say much to do about nothing

Sorry, mispelled and should have said something else. Like I said, much to do about nothing.

Dick Vermeil is a very emotional coach, cries almost everytime he makes a speech to his team. Seems to work for him.
